So which is it bro? The fans caused the Jets to make stupid moves due to the pressure, or the coach and fans don't play and it's their fault? Back to back posts which completely contradict one another.

"Don't have time"? That's funniest Rex apologist comment I've ever seen.

And as for them not having money, that's a load of crap too. They sure found money when they needed to try and sign Namdi, when they extended Sanchez, when they signed Holmes, and they even had some cap room left over the last coupe of years and didn't spend it.

For a guy who's calling others shortsighted, yoo appear to have the shortest sight of us all.

What do you mean, how much power on the 'offensive' side of the ball? Are there two different drafts, one for offense, and one for defense? All reports that have come out have pointed to Rex having a HUGE say in draft, and it's all been defense.

That is a logical jump to: he ignored the offense completely.

A HC can't afford that luxury. And the defense is good, but it's not THAT good.

So all the news reports both then and now are wrong? Rex met Sanchez, convinced Tannenbaum that he was the guy - but that's not true or if it is, we can give him a pass because he was a defense-oriented rookie coach?

That's such bull. This is Rex Apologist Extreme right here.

The above bolded part if THE most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. He acted like a captain? How? By going guzzling champagne in his underwear and sending the pic to the media? Yeah, a role model.

And what "power" went to his head? You are now even contradicting yourself in your own posts!!!! One second you say that he went on a power trip, then you say that the C is dumb and useless because people know who the leader is. You don't even realize how contradictory you are sometimes.

Right, he's not selfish. That's why last year in Philly, Jets down 28-0 due to two turnovers by him alone, he scores a touchdown and gets a celebration penalty. Nah, he's not selfish.

    Please.

There are a lot of teams that make personnel mistakes but good coaches recognize and rectify them. Take for instance the Broncos drafting Tebow in the 1st round. Mistake. They manage to modify their entire offense mid season around Tebow and make it work. Then after making the playoffs against all the wishes of their Tebow fans trade him. Now they have Manning with their sights set on the Super Bowl. How gutsy and smart to turn a bad decision (drafting Tebow) into a playoff and maybe a SB?

Another example, Jim Harbaugh with the 49ers, rehabilitate Alex Smith, then mid season discover they have a better chance to with Capernick. Tough decision but the right one.

Both situations involve coaches having an open mind and being able properly evaluate players and change their mind when due to new information.

How about Seattle. They spend all that money on Matt Flynn but they give the rookie a chance to compete and instead of saying no we have too much money in Flynn, Pete Carol makes the hard choice going with what he sees is the best player and starts Russel Wilson.

You compare that with how Rex was Sanchez or bust.

Meanwhile again it looks like we got it wrong & the Ravens got it right by hiring Harbaugh instead of RR right?

Ian O'Connor has a personal problem with Rex, so anything he writes should be taken with a grain of salt.

Bahahaha. I started reading this thread thinking it was recent and was like, what? again? Ian O'connor is just a Giants guy. Last off season, the cool popular thing to do was to bash Rex Ryan. Woody's been bamboozled!!! like it's some mega conspiracy where this dude is pretending to work in a field but knows nothing about it. Haha! I said it last year and will say again. Rex is staying, most likely for a long time.

I haven't read one post beyond the beginning of the 1st sentence of the 1st post.

    Why?

    Ian O'Connor.

Another 2nd-rate "Journal News" (Westchester) POS retread.

He's Barry Stanton 2.0 (Stanton = former Westchester "Journal News" turned ESPN news editor POS who was caught plagerizing a Joe Posnanski, Kansas City Star column back in 2002).

This thread needs to be locked. No reason to have bumped this in the first place.
