I don't care where the WR comes from. But the SOB better be able to run his route and get separation. Hopefully the Jets can find 2 of them.
I think he'd be fantastic as a #2 type. I'm sort of breaking down the Jets WR need into 2 categories..the # 1 WR type & the #2. I put Stevie Johnson as the top option as a #2 #1 WRs 1.Hakeem Nicks 2.Eric Decker 3. Sidney Rice #2 Wrs 1.Stevie Johnson(If he's cut) 2.Golden Tate 3. Emmanuel Sanders
Steve Johnson is at worst the 2nd best player you just listed in my opinion. He and Nicks are 1 and 1a when they're both healthy. Deckers decent but I don't think he could do it on his own. He's a #2 wr. No thanks on rice, Tate, or Sanders. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Though with a wr heavy draft, I should say I don't approve of signing any big name wr. Draft 2 or 3. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
He's kinda luke warm... Probably only got 2 seasons left... If it at bargain basement prices and we dont add in the draft or through FA? Maybe.
I don't see Tate coming to us at a reasonable price. I believe the hawks could get him to stay even with Harvin's 10 mil and Rice's 5 mil.
Good, passionate player but he doesn't fit anything we are trying to do on offense. If I were Buffalo I would keep him, but I could see him fitting on any of the NFC South teams other than Atlanta if he does get cut.
Not sure I get this comment at all. Doesn't fit what we are trying to do? What is that? Get talented WRs to put weapons on offense? Not quite sure how any talented WR doesn't "fit what we are trying to do".
No. You upgrade at the position, you don't stay the course. SJ would be another headache, just like Holmes. No thanks.
This thread is hypothetical , Johnson is under contract and will be a Bill in 2014, no reason to cut him now. So there's really no use speculating now for 2014, it's a waste of time. As far as Johnson, he was a steal drafted in Rd 7 and is a productive player when healthy. I know a few Bill Fans and they say it's a love hate relationship with Johnson.....the drama, key drops at key moments and also makes the big play to win the game. He's a drama queen, I remember when he blamed God for not making a play in a game. I think he's matured in the last few years. If Johnson doesn't have a solid 2014, I could see the Bills parting ways, at worst they will try to restructure that big contract he got in 2012.
May as well just literally start masturbating rather than continue this thread...it amounts to the same thing. There is no way in hell that Stevie Johnson is a cap casualty, period.
