I hate the WC groups. Obviously the USA's group is the toughest, and there are a few very weak groupings. Belgium-Russia-South Korea-Algeria (three decent sides, no great ones) Argentina-Bosnia-Nigeria-Iran (joke of a group, Argentina the only quality side) Colombia-Ivory Coast-Japan-Greece Not much of a limb! Mexico has a pretty good chance of advancing because they're the second best team in their group. The US is pretty screwed. predictions (countries advancing): Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Holland, Colombia, Japan, Italy, Uruguay, France, Switzerland, Argentina, Bosnia, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Russia
FIFA announced that the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will not be at the usual time of the year due to the heat. So it won't be June/July.
It's fucking ridiculous... so the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga should stop play for a month or more because FIFA didn't think having the WC in Qatar in July was a bad idea. If you are Real Madrid or Juventes do you want you (at that time) 300 million dollar investment playing the WC mid season? This is already shaping up to the biggest joke in the history of the sport and we're still 8 years away, do they plan on competing with the Winter Olympics which will also be in the winter of 2022?
They're saying November-January They of course could've been logical and not had the World Cup in Qatar, but this is FIFA we're talking about. Greedy, corrupt assholes.
Today is Superbowl Sunday but my soccer team(Galatasaray) played a crucial game today. Noon Eastern to be exact. We won 6-0 This is a huge victory against a great opponent. This is like Jets winning 42-0 against Steelers. I am pumped. Started drinking early. Man I love soccer and Galatasaray.
Good logo. I like it. I hope MLS becomes a competitive league and attracts star players in their prime. By the way, Optimum agreed to add Beinsports to its lineup. If you have Sports Package, you can watch El Classico (Real Madrid-Barcelona) on Sunday at 4 pm.
Just remembered to read this one, it's a good read that basically shows what the Krafts are: http://www.bostonmagazine.com/news/article/2014/03/25/bob-kraft-worst-owner-new-england-revolution/
Chelsea-Atletico Madrid game underway. I am rooting hard for Atletico to watch a Real-Atletico showdown in Portugal. Ex Galatasaray captain Arda Turan plays for Atletico as well. First leg was 0-0 Second game just started. 11th minute and still 0-0
What happened to their new age air conditioning system that was supposedly going to keep open air stadiums cool in 130 degree weather lol
