There is no fucking way I want a QB named Fales playing for the Jets. I don't care how good he is.

As long we we don't draft Frédéric Weis lol anyway I'm glad we won 8 and 8 feels so much better than 7 and 9

    That's hilarious!

I think this is the perfect year to draft tools for Geno to grow with. I can't see us not taking a WR and TE early. The next question becomes OLB or Safety. Barnes should be returning next year, so it would probably be worthwhile to draft an early FS. We have 2 third rounders, so that is doable. I'm happy with our RB situation. Ivory + Powell is a formidable unit, and I think Goodson has another year. I can see us drafting a center as well and beefing up the line a bit.

You need to watch that kid play. Shame they are not in a bowl game though - he might be the 2nd most accurate QB in the draft after Bridgewater

What if he had his name legally changed to Flash Gordon?

Well then obviously he'd be QB of the New York Jets.

I was gonna say, you have two ways to find out who Flash Gordon really is.

First you can watch the 1980 film, in which case I recommend getting a couple of best buds together and drinking beer and doing your own MST3K on it. Will probably be the best time of your life.

Second you can just go watch Ted if you missed it in the theaters. Just do it. It's like Tropic Thunder in that you aren't gonna get what you expected but it's probably going to have you rolling on the floor halfway through.

    Best TE or WR available.

Need a legit weapon there. Not a project either. Someone that can be expected to step up early. I know its hard, but lets hope.

Then we need to draft him a round early to make sure he's a Jet. It would be beyond awesome to have Flash Gordon playing at QB. :)

    I'd rally behind Flash Gordon.

I liked what the Bills did with their draft last year. After Manuel, they selected Woods (an NFL-ready WR) in round 2, Goodwin (a speed freak) in round 3, and picked up Da'Rick Rogers (a size/speed/head case who is now showing signs of getting it with the Colts) as a UDFA.

I'm not saying that we should emulate the Bills, but I think it's fine to emphasize a particular position if highly ranked players are there when we pick.

KVN and Jenkins will be long gone. And theres a good chance Lee is gone before the jets pick in the 1st.

Evans or Lee might fall, but the Jets might have them rated lower than the 18th pick. What then? Are you advocating reaching? Taking the BPA? Trading down and then taking one of them?

The Jets went OL for their cluster last year. I'm expecting them to go WR this year but you never know how the board will stack.

Ideally, I'd love to get a big time receiver or tight end with our 1st pick.
But, if Idzik isn't in love with who is left when we pick, I'd be fine drafting
Ha Ha Dix. We really need an upgrade at safety; and we could always
go offense in the 2nd and 3rd.

    1. Marquise Lee, WR from USC
    2. Mike Evans, WR from Texas A&M
    3. Jace Amaro, TE from Texas Tech
    4. Eric Ebron, TE from North Carolina
    5. Paul Richardson, WR from Colorado
    6. Sammy Watkins, WR from Clemson

there's 6 playmakers: 4 WR and 2 TE's, they would be smart to get one of those guys.
