Jimmy likes to surround himself with stars.that's what clueless owners do.they want to be like them.then they wake up and discover that they're just chubby, little stoner musicians.

Little Jimmy "guitar" Dolan - trading players like basketball cards in the little fantasy league of his mind.

A disappointment, yes. A surprise? Hardly.

As long as James Dolan -- the lucky sperm of a billionaire -- is in charge of this team, it will NEVER win a championship.

Heh, some of those are great. Stinks that Dolan has Rangers and Knicks, someone needs to buy it from him

Wow. A win feels so good especially since the ending to the game felt like a loss waiting to happen

When has JR Smith ever had an IQ?

Just saw the game, what a joke from JR, but the biggest joke was Woodson's comments blaming Beno!!!

it is partly udrih's fault. Before the pass, JR was clearly looking for a shot. A smart PG would reset himself. JR is still a moron, though.

udrih also made that retarded foul, so udrih is primarily responsible for the crumble & loss.

he blamed Udrih for the pass but in our offense Melo, JR, Shump all bring the ball up and initiate/reset the offense. The blame in my opinion goes straight on JR for not knowing time/score and Woodson for not using the 2 for 1 effectively and not making sure his players knew the time and score.

The Knicks won. 3rd straight game Shump helped us late.

Woodson tried really hard to lose this game late with his lineups, but hey we won. 2-1 in 2014!

This team will play just well enough where no significant changes will be made and they'll be stuck in mediocrity for a long time.

For this season, that isn't a bad result for us. I would hate Dolan think we really are a championship team and trade picks to try and win this year.

Also I really wonder if the Knicks have a backup plan if Melo walks. I highly doubt Dolan does so I hope Mills and Allan and others have backup plans to present to Dolan if it happens.

The Knicks still have yet to win back to back games. We have a good shot tomorrow. It could be the start of dare I say it.. A WINNING STREAK? We have some very winnable games coming up.

2-1 vs 3 pretty good opponents. Nice job to start off the new year. Wish we could have had that Houston gsme though! I don't think we ever best Jeremy Lin yet?

Not yet. And you know what? It reflects poorly on Dolan for not having a plan with Lin at all. When a dude like that emerges on your team and you get absolutely zero out of it, that's a GM fail. We need a PG badly, letting him go was a big mistake. Dolan should have just given him a low offer instead of telling him to set his price in FA. Utterly stupid move. Lin was a dick too, since he went back and increased it after the Knicks said they'd match, but Dolan is pretty much Mr Fail these days. Say what you will about Woody Johnson, but he's ten times the owner that Dolan is. Dolan has managed to completely ruin 2 potentially good teams. He destroyed the Rangers right after their best season in a decade. I just wish he would let his GMs control the team, so he wouldn't have to be such a meddling owner. He's the Jerry Jones of the NHL & NBA.

    2 in a row, 3/4.

Time to hopefully stay competitive with the Heat?!

Jerry Jones is the Dolan of the NFL. That's where Dolan is.

And to your point about a bigger plan, watch Melo walk after the year and we get nothing in return. Dolan would be too stubborn to trade him, so we better keep him because what are we going to trade for Rondo even if he does magically force a trade to NYK?

Knicks threaten to trade JR Smith. Woj reports that it's an empty threat to get JR straight.

Another novel idea would be to you know bench him? But for some reason the Knciks have not done that yet, instead they pretend to search to trade for him when his value is at an all time low.

Team needs to be blown up and it can be done but they won't. Just going to be in perpetual mediocrity.

JR makes the whole NBA think Woodson has no control
