8-7-7 ties the game, as opposed to needing 8-8-7. They needed two two-point conversions to tie it within four TD's anyway.

I guess that makes sense. And if they missed, it's still 8-8-8 and a 3 possession game

    Thanks

Embarrassing performance for Chicago, along with the rest of the NFC North.

a lot of 'must win' vs. 'doesn't need the game', with the latter usually emerging victorious the last couple of weeks.

Right after they got done discussing how Atlanta's offense is record-breaking for how lopsided it is in terms of pass/run, Gruden claims Steven Jackson has struggled because White and Julio Jones have been out, allowing opponents to load the box against the run.

Teams have not stacked the box! Atlanta passes a ton.

Gruden just referred to Asante Samuel as "the long time Atlanta Falcon"

actually, he's best known for his time in New England and Philadelphia. This is only his second season in Atlanta.

Tirico complimenting the refs for stopping the game when a player is lying on the field injured

WTF? He claims this is a new thing they're doing.

And just like that it's an10 point game again. San Fran literally ran the ball down their throats on that drive.

    refs are blind

they throw two flags on the defense and miss Tony Gonzalez throwing down a DB

Did anyone else see the ending?

Faclons onside kicked it and recovered it on the 25 yard line because on the TD to get it to 24-27 there was a person foul 15 yard penalty. Falcons got the ball to the 9 yard line with a first down with about a minute left by Ryan threw a bad pass that got bobbled in the air and lead to a pick 6.

Falcons were so close to sending the Niners to a week 17 playoff game in Arizona!
