It's going to cost Rex his job....this was a change Parcells would've made in the first half....he did it with O'donnell to Foley.....from Foley to Testerverde..... The year after...both with successful results...
Get outta here, even ex - MVP Holmes is dropping shit. Passes at Million MPH at 10 yards away should be caught? Also Geno thinks we have 8ft receivers.....
This team has no luck with QB's. If we draft a decent one they're injury prone (O'Brien, Pennington, Namath) or they suck (Sanchez, Geno)
Trading for or signing a mediocre QB does nothing for this team. How shortsighted can you be? Sure, lets get stuck in QB purgatory for even longer. This team needs to find a franchise QB. Carson Palmer or Ryan Fitzpatrick does not help that at all. If you dont attempt to find one, you never will. This organization attempted to find one in Geno Smith, but it hasnt worked out. Trying to put a patch over the most important position in all of sports is as dumb as you can get. Keep trying until you get it right. Thats about all we can do now.
This team going forward needs to sign veteran QB's. That's our only chance of having competent QB play. In my opinion I don't think Geno is the answer.
After this game you're definitely right. That said, Sanchez supports didn't become batshit crazy until year 3-4. Hopefully that's not gonna happen in this case with Geno...
That's what we have to hope for next year's draft. But sadly, if a lot of you got it your way, we take Tajh Boyd or Johnny Manziel in round 1 and waste another high pick in doing so rather than supplying what we have right now with actual talent like a Sammy Watkins or someone worthwhile at TE from the draft.
Because a veteran free agent QB will make Greg Salas, David Nelson and Jeff Cumberland into an NFL competent receiving corps? The thing that's wrong with the Jets offense right now is almost everything. You put Jay Cutler in at QB and the only thing you'll wind up changing is the perception of Jay Cutler's talent level. That doesn't mean Geno Smith is playing well enough to hold the job right now but you put just about anybody in there and they are going to be struggling with a weak receiving corps and shaky protection from the o-line. It just is what it is. The Jets are rebuilding and they need like 2 pieces on defense but at least 6 on offense.
Bullshit...one of the MAJOR problems with this team is defenses stack the box because Geno is incapable of beating them. A Manning behind center...you wouldn't see 8 men in the box...trust me. This was a stupid statement....
We need to build the offensive line and add weapons for whoever the QB may be next year. I would love to bring in a solid vet to man the position while we develop a QB.
