Simms threw a pick in the endzone that was dropped in garbage time and the one that got tipped on the goal line looked like a pick too if it made it past the DL. Obviously Geno is hopeless at this point the second he gets rattled which will happen often with the hopeless guards, but Simms really didn't look any better.

Oh, I'm sorry that Simms did not impress you in the two whopping opportunities that he had to drive this team down the field.

Close calls or no close calls Simms DID NOT TURN THE BALL OVER, NOT EVEN ONCE.

On two out of two drives he took us deep into the red zone and converted one of those opportunities into a TD. The other one would have been at least an easy field goal if the game wasn't basically over.

Also, no fumbles or botched snaps.

Simms did not have the big runs he got last time out but looked pretty good today. He played against a talented well coached defense that was playing with a lot of confidence and he did OK.

If your defense can get its act together Simms may be good enough for us to put a couple back to back wins together.

Come one be honest, you might fool someone who didn't watch the ending, but Simms threw a picture perfect pass to McKelvin in the EZ who dropped INT.

The Jets should invest in starting Simms every other week it seems like

Come on, you know if Geno throws that ball not only does McKelvin catch it but he makes it all the way to the other end zone for the score. When Geno throws in INT the defender does not have to stretch out and make much effort to catch it.

Ive been a huge Geno supporter but at some point, he has to start making steps and learning from his mistakes. He is no better now then he was on game 1. He is easily baited into mind boggling INTs, overthrowing all his receivers, poor ball security, etc. Granted he didnt have the best line play (Howard and Winters were AWFUL), but he needs to make better and quicker decisions. At least when Simms can in, he had a plan and an idea of where he wanted to go. Geno is just so indecisive back there and holds onto the ball way too long. Im at a loss on where to go from here. I think the team will probably go back to Geno at least for next game unless he shits the bed once again....

    What would be the point?

Play Simms and see what he can do.

He might very well give the team a better chance to win right now but he won't get the opportunity to start without Geno tanking again and he really hasn't looked consistently good in his 2 regular season opportunities. He's probably not a franchise QB which is my point.

I think we should see what we have in Simms, then we'll know if we need to draft a QB. Geno stares his targets down way too much. He has a lot of bad habits.

If Simms fails and we are eliminated from the playoff hunt we can go back to developing Geno for the future then. At least we will know what we have in Simms and that we gave the SB our best shot.

That may be true, but Simms pocket presence is a work of art.

geno is the guy we stick with till we're out of it or close too it. Simms starts if we give up.

we're not at the point where the season is lost, not even close.

we don't need to win out, we need 4 wins. we can get that with geno.

At this point it is onvious geno is not the future and the jets will either be drafting a QB or reworking Mark's contract. You have to see what Simms can do. Evaluate geno is regressing. Since the Atlanta game he hasn't mad e play at all . Was the Atlanta game his lass passing Td?

It's a terrible throw no matter who throws it. That throw should not be made at all and is bad throw regardless if the DB picks it or not.

If Geno goes into a funk next game, the one following BAL should be Simms starting. The thing is, if the Jets win with Geno in a funk next week, then it creates a tough puzzle for the Jets

    You have it backwards.

Geno is the potential future guy who turns the ball over every week.

Simms gives us the best chance to win now.

Starting Geno is giving up on the playoffs to build for the future.

Whether you like Geno or not this is where we stand right now.

You are crazy if you think we are going to restructure Mark's contract

Those are the options. They are drafting a qb or reworking the contract because if you go in to 2014 with Geno labeled as the starter because he is a 2nd round pick the fan base should revolt.

Simms won the competition battle in pre-season. Maybe it's time to give him a shot.
