Don't want to jump the gun, but really looking forward to Week 12 against the Ravens now, for obvious reasons :) .

I dig it man...We could use him. I am happy he came here. The voice in the locker room that will help.

I think our Beast d-line will show respect

    Buzz Killington

We only have 5 INT's all season. Having him back there on obvious passing downs might help us get a few more.

If he's happier here than he was in Texas, he may find a reserve to pull from. It wouldn't surprise me if this was more than just this season.

He is in a Rex Ryan system now. Definitely not the ED Reed of Baltimore, but a SOLID VET, that played in Rex system. Time will tell, I think this is going to be a nice addition to the secondary.

An excellent signing. I think he still has some left in the tank, additionally, he will bring much wisdom to young safeties (Allen & Jarrett). He will stabilize the position and moves Landry to his natural position.

I didn't realize/forgot that Reed's deal with Houston was a 3-year deal. Obviously, since he was cut, the Jets only signed him for the remainder of this year (at least, thats what we're assuming)

If he shows he can contribute in a part-time role as the ballhawking safety on 3rd downs, then it wouldn't surprise me to see him come back on a rotational basis next year.

Obviously, thats very dependent on how he plays the rest of this year, so no point in getting ahead of ourselves

    ---------

I'm expecting Landry/Allen to remain our starting safeties, but with Reed seeing his reps over Jarrett and Bush. The 3-Safety looks that Rex utilizes are perfect for Reed so he can play the deep centerfield and be the ballhawking safety we need

    Would not have minded that.

Jets make more sense for Reed and for the Jets though really. Coming to a new team midseason, it's a lot easier if you know the system already.

He will be able to help the Jets much sooner than probably would have another team.
