Holmes downside(injuries, drugs, attitude) outweighs his upside(first downs, circus catch Tds). Buh bye.
good point, my bad. I try to think of their contracts being like monopoly game board money. Other wise it's very depressing to contemplate them making millions to sit and get high all day.
Didn't know where to post it, so I just thought I would put it in the first Holmes thread I found. Per rotoworld: I wonder how this is going to affect his play on the field. The man has got to want to play his heart out to maybe catch one more small payday before he is out of the league, right?
I like greg salas better. Let him work with the first team and holmes with the 2nd team. Just to put holmes in his place.
During his presses yesterday Rex "felt good" that Tone would be back for the Bills game. Wait and see if our multimillion #1 errrr # 2 receiver receiver plays 6 weeks after a hammy... Who does he think he is, Miles Austin?
As much as many of you hate Holmes, he's by far our best receiver currently and a big help to Geno. He needs to be on the field. Next season? He's a goner.
Holmes opens up the filed for the TE and for Hill. The running game is improving each week and they torched the bills earlier this season on the ground. This game should be the defense taking over and forcing turnovers and 3 and outs - no long drives. The office needs nice long sustained drives that result in TDs not FG.
Idzik needs to do everything he can to extend Tone Time as far as possible. Tone's the only player on the Jets offensive roster capable of making the Jets 10 times better. Pay him and play him. Shut up.
There's no way that Holmes is back next year unless they extend him to a team-friendly deal. Which in turn means Holmes is as good as gone.
I prefer, "justifiably disliked player who currently wears #10." I don't understand the Holmes love? :breakdance: The guy has been nothing but a collector of pay checks for 2 seasons. Kerley is a better overall player, with much brighter future. As far as production goes, Holmes is dogshit. This guy has the rest of this season to prove something, anything.
Holmes sucks as a person but people support him because he is still the only credible receiver on our roster. Kerley is NOT close to being a better player. He's overpaid yeah but he is still above average which is as good as it gets for our receivers. Having him back for the Bills game where he caught the game winning long touchdown last time would be huge.
This is the same as hitting on the fat girl fat the bar rather than the really hot one just "to put her in her place." You might THINK she cares, but in the end, she knows she's really hot, has plenty of other guys hitting on her, and...you're left talking to a fat girl.
