Any thought of Superbowl rest squarely on the shoulders of Geno Smith and the offense. The defense is good enough to beat anybody the offense not so much. We get healthy at receiver Ivory and Powell keep playing well and Geno takes a step you never know.
The Jets were 125/1 odds to make the Bowl. The Rams were 200/1 back in the day. It would be the most impressive coaching job ever imo
There are presently 2 other 4 loss teams besides us. So if we take care of biz with Mia that would leave only TN & SD & since SD has to play both Den & KC I would guess they will fall by the wayside by the time the fat lady sings. I do not know who TN has to play but I would suspect besides Indy there will be another 1 or 2 roadblocks in there way. That leaves us so if we win out we will guarantee ourselves PO slot #6 :sad:
Getting to the playoffs will be a miracle. Didn't we just play two WRs who were at the playground with their kids 2 weeks ago? Not to mention a TE who is nothing more than a tackling dummy for the PS?
peyton manning is far from a sure thing in freezing temperatures i have a feeling that offense if going to flame out come january ... remember, they got two special teams TDs last years playoffs and still couldnt muster up enough offense to win

Maybe start Superbowl talk if they can beat up on bad teams rather than just eeking out wins...not beating the Pats, getting sodomized by the Bengals then beating the beat up Saints. Playoff discussion, however is wide open!
I'm well aware that anything can happen, but talking superbowl at this point is extreme. Right now it'll be tough just to make the playoffs, but if the Jets can upset NO and NE, they are capable of beating almost anybody. But will they? That remains to be seen. If the Jets can get hot late and rattle off a bunch of wins in a row in December, sky's the limit. The teams that scare me the most are the Seahawks, Bengals, 49ers and the Broncos. I could see us upsetting almost any other team in the playoffs. Hopefully those stars will align for the Jets!
While I think it is extremely far fetched thinking super bowl this year, I do honestly feel we will all see one very soon. I think this team is building to be something damn special. I can see this team becoming a consistent playoff team in a year or two. I think we are all witnessing this organization becoming a force in the NFL.

Yep I know. I was referring to the off chance that we face those teams in the playoffs. I'm glad we don't have to face the Hawks or Niners this season, otherwise I wouldn't be as optimistic about our chance of making it. We gotta get more consistent, though.
