Yes. He had a bad concussion, but thankfully his neck is fine. It was a relief to see him get up, even though he was staggering like a boxer who'd just been KO'd. It will probably take him about a week to be cleared for practice, but since the bye week is here he should be recovered in time to practice and then play in the Buffalo game. It's unusual but still definitely possible to miss more than 1 week from a concussion, but I'd say it's unlikely that he'll miss the Buffalo game.
Too bad the Spadola flub happened. This would have been a great time for him to get some in-game experience... although he had a bad case of the dropsies in the few snaps he got early in the season.
Based on real time video injury analysis, the Jets wide receiver suffered a significant left elbow injury. Kerley hyperextended his left elbow and likely suffered at least a subluxation injury. Ligament tears and a fracture have not been ruled out yet as of this writing. Based on injury mechanism, the best-case scenario is a several week recovery period. I fear the season may even be in jeopardy if additional imaging is positive. The Jets have a quality medical staff and will do what they can for a safe and quick return. However, as a wide receiver, the bracing options to allow early return may be more difficult, as Kerley needs a full range of motion to play effectively. nationalfootballpost.com/Monday-Morning-MD-4224.html (as of 12:00 pm EST)
Really hope he isn't out for long, will be nice to get winslow, cumberland, and homles back after the bye tho
To be honest any WR we bring in is going to help us. I hear people say Edwards is not on a team this late in the season for a reason but any WR we bring in not on a team for a reason.
Surprised he isn't out longer, that injury look really bad. I hope he can come back to help us for our playoff push.
Hopefully Holmes comes back ready to play for once. We can put Nelson in the slot for now until Kerley comes back.
