The foul might have actually worked out for the Nets, but man, last two minutes they acted like they didn't want to win the game.

Brooklyn wins, shoulda been a LOT easier than it was late in the game. Let Miami hang around for a long time

I was about to make this thread, only to realize that this is post #45.

Well whatever, I'm excited for the season. My Bucks can maybe get a top pick, and my OKC will get better sooner than later.

    Oh, and FUCK Miami.

First time since the first year of Lebron I think.

OKC needs Westbrook back, once they do, they can gel some and see if they remain a top WC team and NBA championship contender.

    So much for tanking. :shit:

Nicholas Batum of Portland was up 7 with 2 seconds left against the Spurs, Spurs have given out waiting for Portland to dribble it out. Batum throws up a half heated shot from half court and drains it! He was one point shy of a triple double and that last second heave got it for him!

There have been worse things done for a triple double, Pop said he was okay with it since Batum is a good kid.

    http://newsok.com/russell-westbrook-expected-to-return-tonight-against-phoenix/article/3900735

Russell Westbrook is expected to make his long-awaited return to the Oklahoma City Thunder lineup Sunday night in the team’s home opener against Phoenix, The Oklahoman has learned.

Westbrook has not played since tearing the lateral meniscus in his right knee on April 24 in the Thunder’s first-round series against Houston.

But after passing all medical and physical benchmarks in his rehab, Westbrook, his representatives, physicians and medical team agreed that the All-Star point guard is ready to return.

The Thunder never set a date for Westbrook’s return, but the team originally announced that he would miss the first four to six weeks of the regular season after undergoing a second off-season surgery on Oct. 1 to remove a loose stitch in his reconstructed knee. But he was widely believed to be ahead of schedule in his recovery, and his return for the third game of the season is largely a result of the conditioning he was in prior to the second procedure.

Yeah especially since Rose has struggled overall (Even with the GW against NYK)

that's because it doesn't take a year and a half to recover from an ACL reconstruction. it isn't the 1970's.

he didn't need an additional procedure to repair it, so there is no reason to believe the graph is any better today than it was by the middle of last season which would have allowed him to play.

the greatest obstacle to overcome with an ACL injury is the mental aspect where you simply don't worry about it and play hard. the fact that Rose refused to play reflects how mentally strong he is and likely had nothing to do with the strength of his ACL.

I'm pointing out that they're making Rose look bad, because everyone else manages to return from the injury relatively quickly except for him. For years now players have been able to recover.

But Rose refused to play in the playoffs, after a year, when he was busy showing off before the games.

Heat defense flying everywhere in the 3rd Q and disrupting LAC. Didn't like that last charge call in the NBA in general. The player should have to be set before the ball handler goes into the air and on top of that, I hate charging calls after a player has passed the ball. Double whammy for me there
