The NBA season starts on Tuesday October 29th with 7:00 PM EST, Orlando at IND. A young, fun Orlando team vs a contender in IND who has Danny Granger this year. The play of Paul George will be interesting to see if he can improve on his play from the MIA series. IND is considered to be a top 3 team in the East and threat to knocking Miami out of the finals this year. 8:00 PM EST, Chicago at Miami. Chicago, the return of Derrick Rose. Bulls fans and NBA fans ahve waited a long time for this, how much can Rose improve this Bulls team? Tom T has to learn not to wear CHI down by the time the playoffs come around. The Bulls knocked off the Nets in 7 games and then lost in 5 games to Miami. Miami is the two time defending champs and have made the finals 3 straight years. The last team to make the NBA finals in 4 straight years was the mid 80s. Lebron has shook all unclutch, not very good, Wade's team, the Robin of the team labels with another title and NBA MVP as he carried an injured Wade to a finals win. Now we just have to see if he wins another MVP and adds to his trophy case, it's his league right now. Also, he could be a FA after this year, so that speculation will get annoying. 10:30 PM EST. LA Clippers "at" LA Lakers The Clippers are under a transformation. They got rid of Vinny Del Negro and in my opinion upgraded to Doc Rivers. With Chris Paul and Blake leading the way for this team, many want to see the Clipper reach the Western Conference finals. People have felt the Clippers while having success, have missed out on some opportunites to have better success. The Spurs are still the favorites in the West, but the Thunder, Rockets, and Clippers are considered their main competition. The Lakers are in an interesting spot. They get Pau Gasol and Nash in D'Antoni's offense without having to deal with Dwight Howard. However after that, the rest of this roster will make you say "him?". The big question with theam is what will Kobe do and how will he respond. Kobe suffered an achilles injury last year and isn't ready for the season to start. How will he respond on what he has titled the "last chapter" of his career? He's older and coming off an injury, but the man is also robot and does not let pain and challenge deter him. The Lakers snuck into the playoffs last year as the 8 seed and the Spurs wiped them easily. That's opening night. Also a frustrating rule was introduced this year, the delay of game. The rule states if a player scores, the offesive team that scored can't touch the ball after it goes through the hoop. A lot of players would grab the ball and toss it to the ref or hold it for a split second to set their defense and stop teams from pushing on them. So far in the preseason, man oh man it has been called a frustrating amount of times, even when the player touches the ball accidentally. THe other new rule is offensive players can't just wander out of bounds and stay there to space the floor. They must attempt to come back to the floor of play. Also David Stern retires this coming February and Adam Silver takes over as commish of the NBA. Overall Stern has been disliked with NBA fas with every fanbase thinking there's some conspiracy against them directed by Stern. 6 teams have relocated under him, 7 teams added, and 4 NBA lockouts totaling 48 missed teams for each team (in 1999 50 game schedule, in 2011 66 game schedule).
Wouldn't it be something if Lebron ends up getting a season ending injury...its like his body is made of stone
Bosh still shooting threes. Amazing how he doesn't get it and amazing how the coaching staff allows it to continue.
they talked about him when he came in 3 years at New Mexico Shouldn't be playing many meaningful minutes but Deng and Butler got in early foul trouble.
they said the Bulls have not come back and won a game in which they trailed by 20+ at the half in over 40 years. Remarkable. They were on the other end of one like that a few years ago, though. They blew a huge lead against Sacramento.
Cole running down the court, Butler is right there by the basket in time. He doesn't even jump. He just stands there and watches Cole lay it in. Maybe he thinks the point of running back on defense is so you can have a good view of the layup/dunk. So much laziness and stupidity.
