Jets @ Bengals....CBS's 5th team in Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcox will cover this game. Record wise, this is the best matchup of the entire week. And I don't mean to knock Wilcox(Though he's kinda pro-Bengal) and Harlan....I think they might be the 2nd best announcer team from CBS(I like Fouts and Eagle) but I am just really shocked. I thought we'd at least get Fouts and Eagle. I am pretty shocked this game was not made more of a vocal point of emphasis by CBS.
I love Kevin Harlan and think he calls the best game in sports. He exudes excitement. He could make a curling match sound like a Wrestlemania.
As Sanchez proved, getting to the playoffs is no measure of how good a qb is. Dalton looks good. He is young and a guy that seems to be a franchise qb. His ceiling probably won't be top 5, but to think will be a top 10 guy isn't unreasonable. Right now are there 10 guys you'd take in front of him - looking at it with non orange colored glasses? Yes. Rogers, Brady, Breeze, Luck, Manning, Big Ben, Rivers, Wilson definitely. I would also throw Romo, Newton, maybe even Eli too even though he's been horrible this year... That's more than 10 right there. I think he's in the the top 15 grouped with guys like Stafford. No signature needed
we beat the Patriots and Tom Brady without Tone. It will be good to have him back for the "Run that wins the AFC East" after the bye
Harlan is the man. His voice can make any sport exciting. Great for football and basketball (NCAA or NBA). It'd be cool to see him do hockey or baseball.
Harlan on the radio doing Monday night games with Boomer is hilarious. His descriptions are hilarious.
I heard only two games this week feature teams with winning records...Jets/Bengals being one of them.
Jones takes the snap, hands the ball off with his right hand to Brown, Brown runs to the right, by the numbers, breaks a tackle, reverses back to the left, outside the numbers, gets a block, breaks another tackle and runs out of bounds.... gain of 2 yards, second down and eight... your typical Kevin Harlin MNF radio call
We're Jet fans looking at it through green colored glasses but it's not really the dynamic match up that the nation is looking for. At 4 you have Steelers Raiders and Washington Denver as the two marquise match ups (even though Oakland sucks, they still draw). Our game and the Falcon Zona game are taking the back seat at 4. _
If we dont binge in free agency we will have the cap room for all of them unless they get Revis like xd
I wonder if Marty is going to try and ride Ivory again against this tough Bengals front line. Might have to get a little creative and run outside the tackles, which worked pretty well with Ivory's unique combo of size and speed late last week.
Bengals are tough up the middle, no doubt. My feeling is we will mix that up with screen pass and runs outside the tackles, which is where I think we will be successful. I fully expect a deep passing game as well. I'd love to see double TE sets, but probably won't.
Not sure what to expect I'm this one, it could go either way. As long as our D keeps it close we should have a chance.
no, he's just being realistic, from a TV marketing perspective. Nationally, does anyone really give a S#1t about the Bengals, good team or not? Those other games have either big fanbases (Steelers) or nationally recognizable marquee players (Manning, RG3) but who cares..... GO JETS :jets:
