I submitted this poll after week 4 and the results were: Yes: 90 (76.92%) No: 8 (6.84%) Fence Sitting: 19 (16.24%) We now have the #4 defense and #15 offense. Curious how we feel after 2 big wins and 1 loss later...
Should this even be a question? We got a top defensive head coach and a real offensive coordinator finally. I expected us to be about 2-5 maybe 3-4 at this point with the idea we would lose the next two and pick up steam at the end of the season. The fact that we have a winning record during the hardest part of our schedule indicates we have the right man for the job and when the talent level rises we should compete for a SB.
I don't suppose a scale of some sorts would have been more informative in this poll. Something along lines of say, 10 being highest and 1 being lowest.
I wanted to set it up exactly like I had it from three weeks ago. I'm actually surprised that everyone has said yes so far. May need to change it for the next poll.
The 4-3 record is reflected in the poll results. If it were 2-5 (taking away the "gift/penalty wins"), I'm sure the poll would show otherwise. I would humbly suggest a scale in your next poll. You might get more accurate results with one.
That's funny, I didn't know a game in which we dominated yardage, TOP, third down %, and a game in which our rookie QB had a higher passer rating than a HOF QB should be considered a gift win. If that's the case, surely we deserved the week 2 win over NE, right? That win was gifted to them with Milliner lining up on the wrong side of the field.
RR detractors are visibly asshurt. The team is devoid of talent yet we are in the hunt. Not good enough for Cman and co.
time management and bone headed choices late in games still bothers me. Sent from my LG-VM670 using Tapatalk 2
I swear, if our front office signs Rex to an extension, I will be the happiest man alive! I think this guy is built for this team and the players on it. Give him some talent on the offensive side of the ball with MM calling the shots and I think we will be set for a LONG time.
Oh please. You Rexaholics just don't see anything other than Love Rex / Hate Rex. There's no gray area with Homers is there? I'm not butthurt in the least. I'm surprised by the record as much as any rational (read that, NON-Homer) Jet Fan. If you ask somebody how's the HC doing with a decent record, of course you're not gonna get any negatives. Now if you put that on a scale and refine the questions, your results may not be a shutout. Is Rex a better HC than Rich Kotite? How many yesses do you think you're gonna get. You Rexaholics are worse than Tebots sometimes.
Cmon now. The TB game was lost until that idiot makes the stupid hit on Geno out of bounds. That is a gift and we'll take it. Lets not pretend the Jets were crushing TB up until that point. That push in the back penalty, while the correct call, was newly instituted and call for the first time against the Pats. It gave Folk a second chance which he took advantage of thankfully after missing the first. How often is ANYTHING EVER CALLED against the Pats in a crucial moment of a game? Particuarly against the Jets.. It's ok to acknowledge that the Jets, for once in their history, were the beneficiaries of luck instead of the victims. How many times in the past has a crucial penalty COST this team a victory? Tellya what Matt.. If I change from "gift wins" to "penalty wins", would that be any better?
