1) The GOOD Geno is better than what Dalton can bring. Better arm(Which is Dalton's strength), more mobility. But what Geno comes this game? With Hall gone, we will need to throw on the sidelines against the chancy Pac Man Jones who takes risks for INTs. They will take our running game away so its on Geno this game. 2) I think they are equal though Rex has accomplished much more than Marvin has in far less time. Marvin's yet to win a playoff game....Rex won two. The real test is Marty vs Mike Zimmer, who needs to be a head coach come next year as it is criminal that he isn't. THAT's the Chess match you wanna see. Jay Gruden vs Rex Ryan is also really intriguing. I like Marvin Lewis but he has two of the better OC/DC duos in the NFL in Gruden and Zimmer, two guys who might be future head coaches.
Rex has won 4 playoffs games. But I get your point. Marvin Lewis is the most overrated coach in the NFL.
It should be a good fight. This has been a roller coaster ride already. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride
Cincy can and will be beaten by the Jets. Dalton is their weak link. he is hot and cold. throws for big numbers but loses games he should win. Jets 21 to 17
You look at their season and they could easily have 2 more losses -- Detroit and Buffalo were touch games. Buffalo took them to OT with a QB Cleveland cut twice -- and Cleveland beat them. This is a team that was an early SB hyped up team, but they don't run well, Dalton still makes mistakes, and the defense has holes. Will come down to mistakes -- will Geno make them on the road or Dalton at home?
If both teams play at the top of their game the Jets win easily. The only scenario for a Jet loss is if Geno plays really bad or if the O-Line plays really bad or if Cromarti plays really bad, etc etc. The only hope the Bengals have is for multiple elements of the Jets team to play really bad. Outside of that happening, this game could be a laugh-er in the Jets favor.
This is the first game in a little while where we're playing a QB that I'm not too afraid of. We are gonna shut Dalton down!
I can't truly say whether the jets will win or not. There are games where we do everything like well coach team and execute. There are games where we can't do the most rutine things. It all depends on what team shows up. Execute, execute, execute. We need this win badly. All of our remaining games are must wins. Later in the year those game are going to make or break us.
LOL that Geno is better than Dalton. When AD is on, he's on. Geno has shown progress, but is nowhere near where he needs to be, to be better than AD. But number 2 is spot on. Rex > Lewis.
All aboard the Genocoaster! Let's hope that we're still on the incline- I think Smith can have two good games in a row, but the WRs and TEs will have to keep it up, and Cro will have to have a good game against AJ Green. Hopefully Cribbs can help the Jets get good field position; but I think the Jets need to go back to Malone or whatever his name is, the punter they started the season with, or somebody else.
Rex beat Marvin Lewis twice in 2009. I might be wrong, but I don't think the Jets have played them since. Interesting.
You guys are really underrating the cinch defense. At home they made Aaron Rodgers and Brady look like rookie qbs this year
This season they beat 3 Superbowl winning QB's at home. Rodgers Rapist Brady I thinlk Jets has a chance if Geno brings his "A" game but Cincy is the best overall team we will meet this season. No reason to be cocky etc. Jets are the underdogs and there is nothing wrong with that.
My bad. I should have mentioned the venue as well. Saints at home are good but we will play them at Metlife. Our chances against Saints at home is higher than our chances against Cincy on the road.
