lol....I totally went into this game saying I wasnt going to drink. guess who has a scotch on the rocks in their hands? smh.....
The Jets are bound to pick off one of those long balls that Brady throws down the field. Gronk is always double covered deep down field. One of these times, a guy in a green jersey is bound to be the one that catches the ball.
Its just sad that it feels like we have literally no home field advantage vs the Pats. The Pats play better here then in Foxborough. Its quite sad. You cant blame it all on the crowd either. This team does not come to play at home vs the Pats for some reason.
Seam routes are different from deep balls in my mind because the seam route is a different throw, where the actual depp throw is more air and a ton more time for a sefender to get under it
It's not like he threw into triple coverage. He had his 6-6 WR 1 on 1 on a 5-11 CB. You can't blame him to expect his WR to win that match up and cut across the face of that CB to make it no worst than an incomplete pass. Nelson was the bitch he was and ceded to a rookie CB 1/2 foot shorter. If that is a bad pass than so was that bomb to Holmes against the Bills. 1 on 1 you expect you WR to win or cause the incompletion.
While I agree Nelson could have fought more for the ball its a ball that should have never been thrown. Similar plays were were the 2 INTS against Tenn. The 1st one to Hill was a good pass and the INT was all on Hill not Geno as Hill never located the ball and ran 5 yards past the throw. A more similar case is the 2nd Tenn INT where Holmes got beat by the DB who pushed him out of the way to catch the ball. That ball to Holmes should have never have been thrown either. Its about time and place considerations. If the receiver is not open do not throw him the ball. Some situations you want to take chance and throw it up like the 3rd down bomb to Hill. But that play to Nelson was not worth the chance. Throw it away or tuck it and run it.
