I agree with the rest of your post, but this is actually crazy. You can't build a team without having solid players in the trenches. We can't just take away two of our only blue-chip players if we want to protect our budding Qb and protect any hope of a solid franchise a few years down the road.
That is a bit flawed. It's not about what they deserve it's about how this team can win. Geno deserves protection, and could definitely use it early in his career. We're trying to develop a QB, not hinder him by making him dodge defenders all game. Right now the Jets are looking like a .500 team. We don't need 3-4 more drafts. 4 years is an eternity in football. People keep acting like we should trade all the good players and purge the roster just because "we won't win anyway". That's nonsense. Next year we'll contend.
Rex seems to think Dee will play. It will be good to see him out there and a good opportunity against other rookie players
Only thing I remember him doing was a blown coverage that led to the TD up in Foxboro. Let's hope that doesn't happen again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Ye that play was pretty bad he was suppose to line man to man and the receivers went both right and he was in the left side of the field alone xd. But dude is a rookie crap like that happens not mocking on him think he can be special actually.
Miiliner has looked like your typical high caliber rookie cb.We've seen him struggle w/ technique,pre-snap & the 16 week grind. Everyone of those aspects is correctable. Meanwhile he's displayed good movement, ability to close, ability to mirror & good athletic length. The final package is gonna take alittle while.
Better hold onto your hat then, because it will undoubtedly happen again. - He's a rookie, with out hardly any experience. - Brady is a FHOF QB that will go after him.
Of course I don't know exactly what the Jet brain trust were thinking bout the Milliner pick, but to me it doesnt' seem at all farfetched that if Revis was still on the team they would have passed on Milliner. I would have. With Revis on the team DL would have become the more pressing need. With Revis gone and the Jets having no confidence in starting Kyle Wilson at CB, they had to replace Revis. Wilson was not going to replace Revis. So they got Milliner to replace* Revis. And if Revis was still on the team, they would have picked Richardson instead. Makes sense to me. * Of course I mean to be the starting CB, not literally to be another Revis.
You know, I wonder if we had kept Revis (post rehab), and got the Shelly pick as well, just how well our secondary would be? On a side note: I watched Revis against Philly and he's definitely not the same player...bit rusty? Bad system? Bit of both? I hope I'm wrong here because I still love Revis, great great player, but I wonder if we had his best.
sorry but Milliner is going to be a STUD cornerback in the NFL for years to come. and you can TAKE THAT TO THE BANK I love it when Jet "fans" dismiss their draft picks as a bust after less than half a season as they did Wilkerson and even, YES EVEN Revis in their rookie seasons
Good Dee's available this week. Possibly allows Jets to move Cromartie to cover Gronk when he's in? Also, does anyone have an update on KW? Is he cleared to go full tilt today?
Similar to what the Pats did last week. Talib on Graham Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
I 100% agree, anyone who wants to dismiss this kid after only a couple of games played into his rookie season needs to get their head examined.
I don't expect much from Dee for this season. I hope he can stay healthy to gain as much game experience as he can.
