I'm aware of his early struggles and I know he is playing a position that is tough to excel in right out of the gates. That said, what is with the radio silence when it comes to the kid. He was a top ten pick and I have not heard his name been called, updates on his injury or even any references on this board. Do we expect to see this kid this year? Are his injuries so great that we should not expect to see him any time soon.
I don't know about that. I've heard he's been struggling for the most part. He's had one game clinching INT, which I think you're referring to. I haven't seen anything from him to convince me that he'll be better than Milliner.
...and what has Milliner done to make anyone think he'll ever be anything in this league? Small sample size of course but this was a stupid pick for a guy that is a walking injury. The guy has also looked atrocious in the games he has played this year and he is worthless if he cant stay healthy. He showed that he is always injured in college and this team wasted a pick on him.
So the guy who actually starts and had a game clinching interception hasn't shown you anything to make you believe he's better than a guy who rides the bench? Interesting.
Just watched the interception. The receiver had Hayden beat. Rivers threw behind his receiver and hit Hayden in stride. Not the most impressive play I've seen.
Not that I ever wanted him... but I was rooting hard for Vaccaro never wanted Dee, heck I wanted Tyrann Mathieu, who is outplaying him by far... well so are most of us lol as he has barely been on the field.
So funny, when we drafted Milliner I loved the pick and I questioned the Richardson pick. I've basically done a 180 since then.
I doubt he'll play this week, but he'll be back out there shortly, and we'll know enough soon. Let's not freak about it in week 7. Had we done that a half decade ago, half this board would be calling for Darrelle's head.
Revis at least stayed on the field anyway like you said he does deserve some time before we call for his head
I think people need to calm down a wee bit over Dee. As Big Derty has said it is a tough position to play in the NFL and one hell of a jump form college. How many CBs coming out of college every year are good enough to start? (Not because they have to due to lack of depth = us). These guys are supreme athletes and once a player gets a serious injury its not uncommon for another injury to occur during rehab. So lets just wait until he's 100% fit and played a few games before we label him in the same bracket as Gholston and co. Which will now be most likely next season now. I still have high hopes for him and feel some sympathy for him as I think the kid is a baller and wants to be out there. I hope we draft another CB high next draft, round 3 or 4 as we are really poor in the secondary. God I wish we had Kenny Vaccaro .
