then you may never get them. Wilfork, Mayo and Vereen out. Talib, Amendola and Gronk most likely out. Thats a lot of talent the Jets don't have to worry about.

Matt Cassel beat Brett Favre in 2008. Its never easy with the Patriots.

Other players who are out: Holmes, Winslow, Gates, Goodson, Milliner, Barnes

Not as much talent, obviously, but we have injury problems too.

Barnes will end up being our biggest loss....he brought speed off the edge pass rushing...we need to be able to get to brady and fast...the patriots beat the saints last weekend and the pats were banged up....i dont have a good feeling about this game

If I were not a fan of either team, I would be your life on a Jets win.

If they want to win they need to do what the Chargers did last night. Run for 150 + yards, no turnovers, no bad penalties....they need to keep Brady off the field and Powell/Ivory need to run the ball big time. Geno cannot be a liability in the red zone again.

Can the Jets defend the spread and all the dinking and dunking Brady will do to avoid the rush? That's the question.

If we had a better secondary and Geno had some better weapons, but I still don't see getting by a weakened Pats lineup.

Valid points. We need to win this game.

Has Holmes already been ruled out?

We will be the pats if but for no other reason that we win every other week.

Last matchup was on a short week, Geno's 2nd start (1st on the road), and they have some big injury concerns on defense now. We will have Kerley this time but no Winslow and likely no Holmes. It's also at home. On paper this looks to be a better shot for us to win, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Geno has been inconsistent and thus hard to put stock in.

Will MM and Geno vs. their D a second time be an advantage for us or them? I think this will be the key factor. Our D is good enough. Recent history shows the Pats getting the better of us in our 2nd matchups, but with a new OC and QB who knows.

This is what I keep saying.

I highly doubt he plays, not only is he necassary to 'beat' us but he's also been limited in practice this week and last.
    This was his status Monday...
Hopefully Rex dials up some nasty blitz packages and doesn't go down the 'respectful' route again

Cumberland has been SOLID this year so I'm not bothered at all by Winslows departure.
Please god lets not see Reuland get any more O snaps. I thought he had good flashes in TC, but he's nothing more than a STs player at best.
I'm intrigued to see what this Studfeld fella can do, it would be poetic if he score against the Pats.
