The falcs are a shambles, saying one player is to blame isn't how it works although I know thats not what your saying. But seeing as you bring up Jacksons stats... 77 yards on 14 carries, 5.5 yds a pop. I'll take that as being a pretty good stat. Last season he racked up 1045 yds = 4.1 ypc , not to be sniffed at and that was on a St Louis team that ranked 18th overall. You're obviously not a fan of his, I am. We'll agree disagree
This is the trash that we get treated to here in NY. Great job Seth. Tennessee's first 4 TD drives combined for a total of 92 yards. The Titans had 17 first downs. They averaged 2.5 yards per carry and 7.6 yards per catch (which is skewed by the 77 yarder. Without that, it's more like 5.4) Yeah. What a terrible defensive job, douche.
With Giants, New England, and Miami losing ... The Jets winning would make my week... If they don't it shows that they aren't even in the same ballpark as the mediocre teams... Atlanta is not good this year...
If the Jets go 2-14 the rest of the year, I will still enjoy reveling in the Giants misery. Stealing a win tonight would be incredible. I'll be happy with a close game - even if it's a loss.
That's how I'm going into it. Call me pessimistic, but I'm expecting to lose. Just don't think we can compete with them offensively. Obviously I hope I am wrong and hope we do win, but if we do lose, I hope it's not by the hands of a nationally televised beating.
Also this is going to be the first time Geno is playing in a Dome and on Monday Night. Plus the falcons are reeling and need a win bad. If we can run the ball and complete short passes and once in a while go deep and the defense holds its own we MAY have a chance. Just don't want a blowout. Working tomorrow will be hard to see it all. Almost hate putting the news on in the morning to see the score.

The first 10 minutes of this game..thats all Im asking and the rest should take care of itself. How many big games on big tv have we seen this team not even break a sweat and running for their lives. Can the jets survive the first 2 or 3 drives giving up a td or a field goal max. Will we be down 14...17-0 before we find our footing. There is no doubt in my mind that if we come out of the block with pressure in the first quarter and get a few stops we can make this a game...no doubt. I just have major doubts we can stop them early.
Fingers crossed but I've got a bad feeling about tonight. Hoping it's just a false association with memories of other MNF beatings going back to that 45-3 collapse in the Orange Bowl that started the collapse in 1986, etc :-(

I am new to the group and I thought id give a brief intro. I am a season ticket holder. I have been a Jets fan since the later O'brien years. I can be overly optimistic at times and tend to try to find positives in the torture of being a jet fan. I was a member of another jets forum But It seemed to be less about football and more about arguing over nonsense. Thought id try this group.
