Sometimes I think the jets and Rex get cocky as shit and sometimes they need a lost to bring them down to earth. I don't think the spotlight will be too big for geno and he'll maybe he'll embrace it. Game won't be nearly as bad as people think, they are just shitting themselves because we lost to a surprisingly talented titans team

RT @vxmcclure23: Steven Jackson not expected to play against Jets. Said he wouldn't return until 100 percent healthy

Hope I'm wrong, but have a bad feeling about this game.

The only matchup I like is our front 7 vs their offensive line which has played pretty bad so far. Other than that, where do we matchup well for the night?

I doubt our receivers (with Holmes out, and probably Hill too) can get much separation. Couple that with Geno turning the ball over at an alarming rate thus far, I'd be surprised if we put up 20+ points. Make no mistake about it, if we win this game, it's gonna be solely cause of Geno.

I have a feeling ATLs off weapons, RW/JJ/TG, will have a field day against us. If they throw quick slants to limit our defensive pressure up front, guys like Milliner, Wilson and Walls are going to get absolutely abused.

Again, hope I'm wrong. Would be an incredible statement game if we won, but I see us losing 31-13.

This game wont be a blowout. The Falcons like the Jets, have struggled in primetime through the years. Rex will have to get pressure on Ryan because the Falcons offense is built for deeper passes. If we can limit the turnovers and put the Falcons in bad field position we can keep the game low scoring.

Given the circumstances, Marty has got to run the ball this game. We dont have the recievers to beat them down the field, so run and play it safe. Final score: Jets 13, Falcons 14. Tough loss.

Sort of how I see things going. I think if we avoid bad turnovers, we can keep them under 30, but we can't match up with Jones or Gonzalez, and White if he's healthy is going to have a very favorable matchup against whoever our CB2 is.

Jets need to play keepaway, Falcons offense is too good at home. Run the ball, chew clock, avoid turnovers. Otherwise, this game could get out of hand quickly.

That's not a bad feeling, it's just a good take.

Having a bad feeling is thinking a team matches up well against an equivalent team and thinking that one will kick the shit out of another for other reasons.

    Kind of like... last Sunday.

Only way we win is if we CREATE TURNOVERS FOR ATLANTA

then we'll be fine. pressure isn't gonna be an issue if my impression is right.

I don't know about anybody else but I'm more concerned about our WR's than our secondary.

oh and to all who think a blowout loss is in the works that seems unlikely, this Falcon team doesn't have the heart to put it away so easily. things get close I'll favor our side believe it or not.

I'd feel a lot more confident if I knew Hill was playing. He's the one vertical threat we have which would then open up the short/mid portion of the field with Kerley, Winslow, and possibly Nelson/Spadola.

I'd imagine Marty designs a few wheel route/screen pass situations for Powell and Goodson on Monday night.

I think we will be able to sustain decent pressure on Ryan. Their O-Line is having some problems and I think one of their main guys is hurt and out this week, If I'm not mistaken. Like a previous poster said, the bigger problem lies on what we are going to do on the offensive side of the ball.

    What is this based on?

    2012 Primetime games:

    beat Denver 27-21
    beat Dallas 19-13
    beat Saints 23-13
    beat Lions 31-18

    2011

    beat Eagles 35-31
    lost to Packers 25-14
    beat Jacksonville 41-14
    lost to Saints 45-16

    2010

    beat Ravens 26-21
    lost to Saints 17-14

    2009

    beat Bears 21-14
    lost to Saints 35-27

I mean how far back are we going? The only thing that jumps out to me is that they really show up in primetime games unless it is against the Saints.

I agree with everything you're saying, but I'll say this in our favor ... Rex may not be the best coach in the league, but he's Vince Lombardi compared to Mike Smith. It seems like every time I watch the Falcons he does something that makes me shake my head in disbelief.

Not banking on a win for this one. Especially if we're minus Hill and Holmes. Their secondary may be beat up but we have Geno serving up turnovers and are probably starting Gates.

Barring some lucky bounces (muffed/blocked punts, fumbles, easy picks, etc.) I don't see how we come out of this game with a W.

I'm looking forward to seeing our new speed on display playing indoors out of the rain wind and mud. Plus I think Geno has his best game yet.

Last team with the ball wins the game.

Stephen Hill is probably and was cleared. Big time boost for us. Hopefully he can catch a few deep balls and help keep the defense honest.
