That's a really curious ranking, because Power Rankings are updated frequently and by definition they are about how good a team is RIGHT NOW, yet the ESPN guy is going on about how AV will "eventually" get it right. When did this become about future hopes and dreams? (not that I disagree with him, he's just misusing the ranking system)

Probably just because it's a "pre" season power ranking and not a power ranking based on the preseason. When you think about it, how many preseason NFL power rankings take into account the results of preseason games besides injuries.

They should also relax the offside rules, like if a player skates the puck into the offensive zone with a man already in there, it shouldn't be an automatic whistle if the man leaves the zone and comes back in before touching the puck or never touching it at all

Sounds like a neutral zone turnover waiting to happen.

I like the rule. It's one less opportunity for Del Zotto to screw something up.

One other thing: At the start of a new season, can I just say that the insistance of Devils' fans to chant "Hey! You Suck!" to the music of "Rock n' Roll Pt. 2" after every goal is probably the cheesiest, childish, most embarassing ritual in any sport on the face of the Earth.

    Thank you.

Tired or not, the Dennis Potvin stuff is linked to a specific incident that occured on the Ice. There are leterally hundreds of ways for a home team to celebrate a goal, and the best that Devils fans can come up with is "HEY, YOU SUCK!" ???
