Oh ok, got it - thanks for the clarification. Oh and btw, I slyly slipped a "Mark" reference in a previously quoted quote of yours...I was wondering if you'd catch it (wink!) - check it out.
Really?? Year--GMs--QBR-Com%-YDS--TDS--INT 2009 -- 16 - 98.6 - 67.9 -- 4770 - 29 - 15 2010 -- 16 - 92.0 - 63.6 -- 4370 - 24 - 12 2011 -- 10 - 96.8 - 61.0 -- 2479 - 15 - 6 (Injured) 2012 -- 16 - 90.7 - 64.3 -- 4008 - 22 - 12 While I'm not going to say he's a top QB but the dude is above average...
Byz said it best. The Texans made it just as far in the playoffs with TJ fucking Yates as their QB. Is Schaub better than anyone we currently have on our roster? Yes but that doesn't mean he's a great QB either. I have been impressed with Phillip Rivers this year, he is playing like the 2006/07 Phillip Rivers now that the dope Norval is gone. The Chargers look really good and probably should have beaten the Texans week 1. They thrashed the Cowboys and went cross country and slapped the Eagles around. Rivers is making some big plays but most people aren't seeing it.
Rivers is off to a fantastic start. If Peyton didn't have his big start, Rivers would be getting much more notice. Tony Romo is also playing relatively well, but slipping under the radar. We'll see if those two can get a season of good play though.
no draft picks thrown away in idiotic trades for scrubs.... hasn't the Tannenbaum-two picks for Tebow lesson been fully learned yet????
Eli was getting his team to the playoffs every year(earlier in his career) Flacco has never missed the playoffs and never been one and done peyton is still "unclutch" but Peyton gets his team to the playoffs w/ high seeds nearly every year. I have no idea about the college guys, we'll find out when they play at this level but I have seen enough of Schaub to know you aren't winning big with him. Does that mean I'd never take him as a stop gap? at the right price if they don't feel geno is the guy long term and they need a stop gap I'd be ok w/ that but I wouldn't be ok if our plan was to sign him and expect to win big. Are you talking about the "it factor" line? I did think of mark b/c I remember that was the big thing about him when he was a rookie. Better than any healthy guy we have on the roster. Rivers is a better Schaub, better fantasy guy still can't win big games. I will be impressed w/ Rivers when he can do it when it matters.
Yeah, dummy, that's exactly what I'm saying. Above average QB + an off-season's worth of offensive upgrades + a top five defense = a real possibility of making the playoffs.
And Tim Tebow has one more playoff win with the Broncos than Peyton Manning does. So what? It's irrelevant because they obviously aren't comparable players.
The QB I would take a chance on when he shakes free is Josh Freeman. I still think he can be salvaged and he'll come cheap.
He is shittier than Sanchez if you can believe it. With that said, I would take him as a backup over Simms/Quinn since he has way more experience. I think a change of scenery would be very beneficial for him.
on a similiar note, the way the rookie salary cap is structure now,the Jets should be drafting a QB every year...
shittier than our all time leader in playoff wins? you don't say. of course he's not as good as mark, neither is Geno but he has ability and w/ the right coaching he can be successful in this league.
At least one restaurant in Houston would have to change their menu if the Jets traded for Schaub. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...restaurant-offers-pick-six-matt-schaub-burger
He isn't going anywhere where he'll be a backup. If you're going to bring him in to be a backup, you might as well keep Simms and or Mark.
