Spadola! you're our last best hope! oh and kerley, but he should be the one covered by their best DB, so yeah GO SPICOLI!!! need 85 to step up monday night in a big way.
Picking Atlanta in my knockout pool. We have been bad on the road and Atlanta is a tough place to play. Their offense will put up points and even if Geno stops turning the ball over I can't see him playing well enough without Holmes and Hill to win this game.
Is Hill officially out or something? I see everyone saying he won't play. With 8 days to come back is it out of the question he plays?
Out of my knockout pool. Sometimes called suicide pool. You pick a team each week to win and you can only pick each team once. This is a tough week for picks and Atlanta seems like a pretty safe bet sadly to me. Nothing could get me away from this site permanently
we're just assuming he's out with a concussion, if he's good to go then gravy. he's back vs the Pitts for sure. I've heard of that process, not an easy week for that, i'd go with the rams this week if it were me.
Predictions? I say the Jets show up, and Geno bounces back from a bad week. However, Matt Ryan takes advantage of the Jets secondary. 27-24 Falcons.
we were gonna get steam rolled wether those 2 played or not. id rather them rest and get healthy. jake locker/fitzpatrick and some scrubs tore us up. ryan/jones/white/gonzo are going to go ape. especially after losing last week. falcons 45-10
1 Int 35 yds rushing Powell 19 carries 95 yards rushing, 1 TD Clyde Gates drops at least 3 passes going his way. winslow II grabs over 7, Spadola gets his first receptions. Matt Ryan 20-34 1 TD, 350 yds passing, 1 TD the jets win both battles in the trenches/ the falcons get 1 sack the jets get over 5 (the falcons o line is pretty weak actually) the falcons get 400 yards of total offense and at least 3 field goals i just have an odd feeling about this game... this team looks better on paper than they do in reality. Our fears are with ryan and his weapons and geno with his lack of such vs their secondary, but might we be overrating them a bit. their offense is one dimensional (feed ryan the ball, and watch what happens) and can be stopped. weapons be damned, our secondary is not that bad where it will be that trounced upon, likely the jets will get a few choice stops and some big plays from the D line and that will make all the difference. this game can be won, the falcons lack the heart to get the job done even at home.
Its a big league so I have to pick 2 teams. I have the Rams and the falcons. Every 5th week you pick 2 teams. Its kind of a pain.
I don't think our secondary is bad at all, I'm just concerned about how anyone matches up with Jones, White (if healthy), Gonzalez and Toilolo (even though he had a big drop last weekend). We HAVE to put pressure on Ryan or he'll cut us up. _
Jets shock the world as Defense turns Matty Ice into Matty Turnovers and Geno rebounds with a nice effort to gain a close victory in the fourth quarter 17-13
The Falcons can't stop a nose bleed. Fast track perfect conditions. If Marty can't figure out a way to put up 20 to 24 points he sucks. The D will get torched and make a few plays. I suspect we lose but it's not a blow out. I think Dumstein might get his wish.
