I've been torched on this board for suggesting that Schotty held back the Jets O and Sanchez. Oh well.
Probably, but that does not mean Sanchez is good, and definitely does not mean that the player Sanchez is now would prosper under MM. Thing with Schottenheimer is that he has a slightly better version of Sanchez running his offense with the same weaknesses. And he has no idea how to overcome them. He tries to hide them by playing small ball but that only makes it worse.
Hahaha and it's only 7-3 at that point. I heard something today that against Dallas the Rams ran 22 offensive plays at the half and only had 18 total yards. How is that even possible? My guess is Fisher cans Schotty by the bye week.
The Rams offensive juggernaut now has 11 reverse gears with Schottie in there. Because what happened with us its only a matter of time before the Rams FO realize that the problem is called Schottie and will get him out
Every time I see that gif I ask myself why Sanchez was throwing the ball to the guy who had two defenders on him when the play design had been to give him an open look somewhere. It was a crappy play call but the execution was just terrible as well.
Shouldn't Fisher get a ton of criticism for hiring Schotty in the first place? Fisher is an average head coach who get over hyped because the league and media love him. He should have known that Marty Jr sucks.
He's better than an average head coach in my opinion. His teams have won 12+ games 4 times and he's done it with 2 different QB's. That said, he's in that age range, early 50's, where things often fall apart for coaches.
This is either a really poorly conceived play or the receivers aren't sure who the check down is. In either case it's bad coaching.
Watching the debacle that is now the Rams offense, I can only think what we could have been the past four year with someone like MM as our OC. It's entirely possible that we would have done worse, since BS's offense lends itself to protecting (sheltering) the QB, whic the team was tailored made for in 2009 with the #1 D and great running game, but I think that second year could have been very special.
Doesn't bear thinking about. With the talent and confidence we had throughout the team, we would have had a much better chance of going to the big one
