Amazing if we actually had a 4000 yard passer. Never thought that would ever happen.

Panthers weren't really able to do it the week before. Most of the same guys were missing. Every team is banged up anyway, I hate the injury excuse. No one in the Bills secondary is a star. It'd be different if Geno lit up the Bucs when Revis was out or something like that. I didn't see the Pats give back their defensive effort because Kerley was missing

In todays league? It's a high possibility.

I actually didn't mind what I saw from Manuel. He faced one of the toughest defenses he faced all year and while he didn't connect on a lot of passes, he didn't make that crucial mistake. He held strong and didn't throw a pick, held onto the ball when sacked.

He spiked it hard in the ground and moved it. Loved it!

Definitely turnovers are important. He has the second highest INT% in the league. If you look at the bottom 10 (worst INT %s) right now it's not a good list to be part of. But again he is a rookie, I hope he learns. I think he has shown learning throwing a better deep ball this week, getting the ball out quicker, protecting the ball (Throwing it away in the RZ for a specific example) in scoring opportunities.

Oh definitely, but not with this team. We didn't run a modern-day NFL offense up until we hired MM

No QB ever goes without turnovers, but it is important over time to reduce the number of them. And that reduction comes be reducing the types of interceptions that come from telegraphing passes or making ill advised throws. The key for Geno will be reducing the number of interceptions on short and medium passes. There will always be interceptions on deep routes, that's part of the nature of deep passes...just ask Namath :D

The Jets had one already. Namath in 1967. And not another in 45 years. But he was very overrated according those some on this board who never saw him play.

Wow completely forgot Namath was I believe the first ever to throw for 4000 yards?

And you don't even have to say his name, I already know lol.

He did it first and no one else did it for another 13 or 14 years if I recall correctly...Namath is the only QB to throw 4,000 yards before rules that made the league passing friendly.

Yeah, it was a big deal that was cheapened a bit by the perception that the AFL was a pansy league that threw the ball too much as a gimmick instead of grinding things out with 3 yards and a cloud of dust the way teams like the Packers and Browns did.

Of course Johnny Unitas was throwing the ball all over the place for the Colts as well but that little fact didn't sway the perceptions.

Sanchez apologists and Geno fans need to notice something about our current QB. He does not only lock in one or two receivers...He spreads the ball around to every receiver...He looks to make the play to that executes best rather then target one guy only...I think he is improving with each game.

.......along with the uncanny ability to allow his receivers the CHANCE to at least make a play on deep passes. His "cradle drop" to Santonio on the 69 yd TD pass was sick!
