    1. Finally threw the ball down the field, which opened up the run and kept 9 guys out of the box
    2. Geno throws a very nice deep ball and bounced back from the ints, all in all a very good game for him
3, Finally established a running game against the NFL's 30th ranked rush defense, but still a huge game from the rushing attack
    4. Holmes was actually dangerous out there, as was Hill, if Hill can hold onto the ball on a regular basis, he will be a gamebreaker ...Kerley helped too, it kept Gates out of the game
    5. pass rush
    6. rush defense
    7. Directional punting and hangtime
    8. Nick Folk keeps rolling along
One quandry for me was how the hell the Bills kept double coverage on Hill on the Flea Flicker, I figured he would be wide open, nice to see some inventive play calling

I think Hill can be more than "serviceable."

I agree with the rest though. I laughed at the Gates point. Yeah a lot of people will whine, and bitch with this WIN we earned, but most experts picked us to lose, and realistically we whooped them. All we need to improve on is pass defense, which should improve with Walls, and Dee getting more playing time, and also Geno's turnover ratio, which will also no doubt be better. If you take out the 4th quarter against the Pats, he'd probably have about a 90 passer rating right now. He is literally on pace for over 4K yards. It looks good. I don't give a fuck about the negatives right now. Isn't being reasonably optimistic within reason what being a fan is all about?

if Hill starts catching balls on a regular basis he'll be more than serviceable. The only thing holding him back right now is he doesnt' make all the catches he should catch. He's serviceable right now just as a deep threat to stretch the field, he starts bringing in more catchable balls he'll move to being a top receiver.

Here's a positive you missed....o-line gave up 0 sacks. geno is learning not to hold on to the ball too long.

Geno's progression over the past 2 weeks has been great to see. He's getting better every week. Hopefully he can stop turning the ball over as much.

The oline gave Geno good protection.

    The run game was effective

The receivers had a good game

The defense especially the front 7 was constantly getting pressure.

I did read the post before I posted, you edited your post after I posted, or at least while I replying since your original post is captured and quoted in my response. Don't try to edit your response after the fact and try to say something other than what you did say ;)

Did the Bills key on Winslow? Not much from him yesterday.

If we can get our WRs to continue to improve AND work Winslow back inot the game... that could really raise the ceiling for the Os potential.

Dee took limited snaps they mostly had Cro and Wilson on the outside. IMO that's a good way to bring the rookie along. No need to rush him out there. Most rookie Cb's tend to struggle. Even Revis struggled in year 1. Give Milliner time he'll be fine.

From the Giants pre-season game to the 3rd regular season game Geno has progressed very nicely...can't wait to see how he plays in game #20 this year.

    1. Powell - almost 150 yards on 5.5 a carry. That's exactly what you want from the workhorse back, which he clearly was yesterday. He's is like the opposite of Green. He makes moves and extends plays instead of going down on first contact or just running right into the defender.

    2. Hill & Holmes - This is the first time in a quite a while I remember 2 Jets receivers going for 100+ yards each. Good stuff. The deep game is looking pretty decent this year.

    3. Rushing D - CJ who? Spiller averaged .9 a carry against us and fumbled twice. Not bad for being a top RB in the NFL.

    4. 8 sacks - 12 TFLS - 16 QB hits. Sack Exchange is back? Man this front group is tearing it up! 2 sacks for big Mo, and 6 others between Allen, Landry, Davis, Harris, Pace and Richardson. I'm surprised Coples didn't get any, but they will come with time.

    5. Great to have Kerley back. He was so critical for us, especially in the return game.

    6. Quigley looked pretty decent.

-Pass rush was fantastic. Constant both up the middle and from the edge. awesome to have coples back in there.

-Loved seeing geno throw a deep pick, but then keep coming back and throwing it deep with confidence.

Kerley is that even keel, old reliable type in the lineup. He reminds me a lot of Cotchery; not so much playing style but as for what he represents. It's definitely a more comfortable feeling when he's in the game.

I've liked Powell for a while as a really solid depth guy. I don't see the breakout game against the Bills as the start of some trend but I definitely feel good for the guy.

The rush defense is legit. THIS, I see as the beginning of a trend. The one and only gaffe came when they stuffed the line and thought they stopped the 3rd and 1, only to give up the big play. Admittedly, I thought they made the stop at first as well.

Pass rush was great. Even when the push wasn't as strong in the 3rd quarter, Manuel must have thrown half a dozen balls several yards out of bounds anticipating pressure that may or may not have been there.

Nice debut (I think it was his first NFL game right?) for Quigley punting. Anytime you can't think of anything bad to say about a special teams player is probably all you can ask for.

    As for positives:

I'm positive we should get rid of C.Gates and go after Josh Gordon while they are having a yard sale.

We are (most likely) going to spend a 1 or 2 pick on a WR next year... let's just give one up now for a semi-proven commodity and give him an extra 10+ games to get into the fold.

Yeah I would like to know how much money the Bills sent to the ref's for all the penalties they called against us. Something had to be up, I'm sorry that was way to much.
