My observations: 1) Geno threw 2 bad passes all night, 7 drops I counted, the receiving corp is horrible, Gates stinks, Hill has Anthony Becht hands, bring Braylon back, Holmes is a dog and doesn'tcare 2) Malone killed us with field position all night, every drive we started inside our 20 3) Kyle Wilson is the worst punt returner in the nfl, field the ball you idiot 4) Edelman ran the sameplay 75 times and we knew it was coming and couldn't stop them 5) Landry is horrible, rather have Kerry Rhodes or Jim Leonhard 6) Ivory had 6 yards a carry and wasted him in the 2nd half
Agreed 100% on all fronts...Geno made 2 bad passes, but he also was poor with his reads...Alot of guys on the screens were open but he missed them. Overall our offense lost us this game
I think Geno had more than 2 bad throws, but its certainly not as many as the stat sheet tell you. I do not understand why Chris Ivory disappeared in the 2nd half. He was by far our best RB and we abandoned him. We were only down 3 points and Marty just pulled him. Powell is solid, but Ivory had a chance to take over that game.
Tons of missed opportunities tonight no doubt. But damn it was nice to see the team show some heart and fight, that's been missing for a while. Any update on Wilkerson and S Rich injuries? We can't lose either of those dudes...
Great points. I'll add I like Geno's calmness and coolness. His accuracy is not great, but hopefully that can be worked on.
I think Geno will be ok. Marty asked him to do to much in his first road start with this clown show of a WR's corpse we have.
I dont understand the Santonio part. Dude is probably not 100% or has clearly lost a step after completely fucking up his foot. He was the only receiver who consistently made catches. ...All 2 of them.
Hate to say it, but, even if he is halfassing it, he didnt have a drop. It just didnt workout today with these wideouts.
Geno has all of the tools to be a winning quarterback, but he needs more snaps and game time. I'm willing to bet he looks like a world beater against the Bills defense with a long week ahead. On the other hand... CATCH. THE. BALL. I'm looking at you, Clyde Gates. The same goes for Stephen Hill, but he had the type of stat line I'd expect from him if/when we can get Holmes and Kerley on the field with him. Santonio Holmes had a couple of clutch 3rd down catches that led to scores, he might single-handedly win a game or two for us this year. Shades of 2010 would give the front office a tough decision, especially with these other Gates... er... guys on the roster. This defensive line masks a ton of deficiencies behind them on the field. The corners looked particularly bad, and it was a good move to bench Milliner. If the Patriots connect on half of the balls where the receiver beat their man, the Patriots would have won by 17+. It's a different defense without Revis, but that doesn't mean it can't be equally effective. I hope the corners can live up to their talent and the linebackers don't ruin a good thing.
