The Bucs defense is a lot better than the Patriots. The Bucs were the best against the run, then they added to the secondary.

The Jets should be able to establish a run game against New England which will go a LONG way.

Did you also make a "the Jets will be 1-1 after week two" prediction?

So you are assuming we will not score any more points than that. One Game does not set the bar for maximum points scored.

We might be going down in flames but the game needs to be played...anything can happen.

Pats offense is also much better than Bucs O.

It will still be a very hard fight even if Jets do hold lead during the game.

If they are trailing, they can kiss that game good bye.

    Hey, long time no post.

    Congrats on the W.

I think Pats fans are going to miss having Sanchez to kick around.

I'm not taking Thursday lightly. The Pats didn't look wonderful today. The receiving group is really thin.

Thanks. Sanchez is 1-0 against BRady in the playoffs

But I'm afraid of the NE offense pushing the tempo on us and causing tons of problesm with subs/and LBs getting caught on Edelman and Amendola and RBs. I don't think our offense will get enough points on their own to help the defense, so ST or defense will need to produce some easy points for them

Sanchez beating the Patriots in the playoffs = blind squirrel finding a nut.

Amendola is banged up. Who knows how effective he will be.

I love how on the ESPN homepage it's "Late penalty saves Jets" and "Patriots rally past Bills". Just the connotation says it all. Can't wait for Thursday.

the good news is the pats don't have a Vincent Jackson at wr.

the bad news is the pats don't have a josh freeman at qb.

rex knows how to dial it up against brady.i think we can hold them to 21-24 but not sure if we can score that much. I think we will be in the game till the end though

    You sir, are a genius

I said the exact same thing to myself when I saw that. The Pats really did not rally, they got lucky that the Bills suck

The jets rallied with 50+ yards in 39 seconds!!

The secondary is going to need to get their act together for Thursday. If they play the way they did today Brady will have a field day.

90% of the headlines don't give Jets credit for the win. You gotta remember these are the same people that gave the Jets no chance at winning this year so they gotta save face by blaming the other team for the loss instead of giving credit where it's due.

Surpisingly enough, Cimini of all people just put up an article saying the Jets DESERVED the win.

The Pats also don't have Revis. look for a bigger game from tone and that whole side of the field to open up. Running game should be better, though not by much, against the pats as well. On defense, the pats receivers are very inexperienced. look for our corners to improve. I suspect the pats o-line can slow our pass rush more than the bucs could

I always find that logic to be weird. As if the Patriots playing poorly means they'll make up for it by being better next time? They lose games all the time. They have multiple bad games in a row sometimes. Heck- even the 2012 Jets almost beat them last year, and that was with Sanchez, and when the Patriots had all their offensive players. Now they have a bunch of new guys, and they weren't that dominant at all, and it will take them 4 - 5 weeks before they develop enough chemistry with Brady to be able to consistently score 30+ points a game.

We absolutely have a chance against the Patriots, especially since they have a short week to prepare for us and practice corrections to their mistakes in Week 1. The Jets will still be playing with a chip on their collective shoulder, and you know Rex has plans for dealing with Brady. If we can get our running game going decently, and don't lose the turnover battle, I think we can definitely win the game. There's at LEAST a 35% chance we'll win.

The media already is lining up the excuses, im already hearing how the Patriots are injured and that it might open the window for the Jets to steal it.

If we are to win tonight im sure we will hear every excuse in the book

Who gives a shit? If the Jets start the season 2-0 I'll be happy about it regardless of how a bunch of talent-less fuck heads want to spin it.

If people are making excuses for our success and underestimating us that can only be good for us. That is exactly where you want to be in this league. Enjoy it while you can.

I don't think the up tempo offense will be as much of a problem as it has been. We're now much younger and faster on D overall with increased versatility and LBs that are no longer easy prey for TEs and RBs. There are plenty of young guys who are still learning but I think this team is much better built to handle NE than it has been the last few seasons. We'll see shortly...
