He played well in the second half. He will get better as the season continues

Pretty good numbers, for sure. Thanks for posting those.

I've got him for 24 of 38 (63%) for 256 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. Plus another 6 rushes for 47 yards. Not bad at all for a rookie playing his first NFL regular season game!

He made rookie mistakes (as expected) but he also did some good things as well. I liked how he was able to scramble and use his legs to pick up yards. I liked how he was able to buy time in the pocket and complete passes on the run. He looked poised and seemed to have gotten better as the game went on.

Started 5/12 with an int, then really played well 19/26

Run blocking and pass blocking was terrible

The call for the late hit was right, it was uncalled for along with Goldson's hits earlier against Cumberland and Kerley. Just cause it's not one of the stars you have to call it the same.

If it was Brady taking that hit the refs would of lynched the defender.

Curious to see if there is some fines or suspensions coming this week.
Just saw a hit on Kapernik out of bounds from Mathews that was cheap as hell. I think Goodell gets involved there and hopefully on Goldson.

I don't care about the stats, the numbers or even that we won the game. Its the intangibles.

What impresses me so much was his poise, calmness under pressure and his ability to extend plays. Very few QBs can do these things. These are type of qualities that convert third downs, extend drives, keep the defense off the field, and put up points. I am just amazed at his calmness under pressure. If he can keep doing this as he is slowly asked to do more he could be something very special.

But they do say the 1st game of the year is the biggest outlier. Lets hope he can do it again on Thursday.

From looking like a long year the picture has gotten a lot brighter. I care less if we win this year and more about Geno developing. If he can develop into our franchise QB, this year will be a joy to watch even if we do not win much.

I keep seeing people complaining about the pass blocking. Yes, it was bad at times. But at times it was freaking awesome. Once they work out the kinks of picking up blitzes I think they'll be very good.

Yeah, I mean I see that get called all the time and get annoyed with it. But it's a consistent call they make.

    No prob.

This is true. The run blocking was bad overall, the pass blocking was inconsistent.

I believe that you are talking about the touch pass to the FB Bohanon.

Tampon Bay's run defense was pretty stout. It says a lot for Geno in his first-ever NFL game to be able to move the chains somewhat.

It'll be interesting to see haow this plays out against NE. Obviously, we need to put up more than 18 points. But the kid has a rocket for an arm, and WAY MORE accurate than El Guapo. Plus, he isn't prone to the panic El Guapo seems to exhibit.

I'll take the win. 1-0 is a lot better than 0-1 come December.

BTW, Sanchez is officially history now. He's nothing more than an expensive clippoard holder in my eyes.

I'll tell you what, I like when Geno sees a lane after his reads fail and makes a nice run.

The late hit on Geno gets called every time. The hit on Cumberland I thought was a great defensive play. If that's not allowed you might as well take Ronnie Lott out of the HOF.

Wasn't talking about the fumble. Was talking about the late hit that drew the flag that set up the field goal.

Geno had 300+ yards of offense.

Sanchez has done that in 8 of 62ish starts.

I was very impressed by Geno playing so well in his first start.
