Yeah but without DVR you need to consider killing yourself, really.

Suppose you have to miss the season opener because the drunk GF drags you to a friend's engagement party, and none of them are football fans? And she tells you it'll be "inapprpriate" if you turn on the TV? And now you can't DVR the game.

    Time to go kill yourself.

They call you "MR. HOBBES." LOL....

Okay, so I see you're back in business. And it's busines as usual...

You couldn't wait until 8AM? Seriously, you've got to have radar or something... some sort of new, high-tech alert that goes off and wakes you up if MS is being disparaged! LOL

Yet...he is a starter in the NFL.

LT was saying Sanchez will be a career backup. Cutler had less success in Denver (though a bigger arm) than Sanchez had here, and went on to start again in Chicago. I get LTs point, just think it's too early to say that he'll never be a regular starter ever again.

I don't love the guy, but he's still got a career ahead of him if he can't get the turnovers under control.

Lt is a guy that got closer to the Super bowl, with Mark Sanchez, than he did with Brees, or Rivers.

Aamof, doesnt Philip Rivers have a career history, of losing to to the Jets in the playoffs?

    how quickly we forget..l

Clearly LT is an idiot, and he knows nothing about the game of football! Has he even played any organized sport? Obviously he just doesn't get it. Sanchez led this team, on his back I might add, to back to back championship games - dispite our defense being terrible both of those two seasons! LOL Sound familiar?

**Being new here I probably should let you know that I am kidding!

    Its not Sanchez

Its the herd mentaliity of the media. LT was great RB. If he is so insightful, why isnt he coaching?

I dont liike seeing stand up guys get run over by the media. Its disgusting, and the Jets are setting Geno up for the same thng.

Okay, if not Phillip Rivers, what's his opinion of Kellen Clemens?

Oh, maybe that's irrelevent also.... sorry.

Shit... I'm going to bed fellas. Just got back from FL on a late flight into AC and had 3 beers and this discussion is a continuation of the "I Love Lucy" thread.

Not true. With Rivers in 2007. It's a tie.

Well, ifSanchez shouldnt be a starter, shouldnt LT provide a little context?

He played with several QBs. Its easy to be a douche, and say "theguy that almost got me to the Superbowl, sucks more than the guys that didnt"

    Tell us why.

Okay, this is what I am warning about earlier in this thread. I knew the disparaging remarks impugning LT would be forthcoming. So, of course he's not "qualified" to disseminate good QBs from bad QBs because he has never coached. The fact that he played is irrelevent.

Granted, I'm a little drunk, but not that drunk to see where this is going.

By morning, LT and his reputation will have all but crashed and burned in flames. He was never squat until he met Sanchez, so how can he possibly come out with this indictment?

It would be fair to argue, that Tomlinsons 1400 yards got rivers there.
    Thats the anti nacho argument.

    Good night, Mr. Hobbes.

Wishing you pleasant dreams of floaters in the sky off of the wrong foot and into triple coverage.

No, LT is a great pkayer. But player, does not equal mind.hes a media whore

Dexter manley was a great player, but no one is conferring wisdom on his opinions, now are they.

Look, at the end of the day, Smith coughed it 4 times in 35 minutes, including one for a score.

There is an element of identity politics in this discussion.

In 3 years, Sanchez went to the AFCCG twice.

Scored 32 times the next year.

    After that?

Won 6 with no oc and massive injuries at skill positions...

Thats not a defense. Thats what happened.and having watched this team for a very long time, thats impressive, especially when you consider the OCs

He didnt have Gates,Lt,And Vince Jackson.

Yes losing to the Jets, as in the team where the DEFENSE picked him off twice and the DEFENSE limited the Chargers to 14 points.
A game where SANCHEZ threw 1 TD and 1 Pick on just 23 attempts, where Sanchez had 100 yards of offense. and that history of losing to the Jets is 1 game.....But don't forget, Rivers ACTUALLY LED the chargers to 4 consecutive post seasons in his first 4 years as a starter. During that span he NEVER threw less than 20 TD's and NEVER had more than 15 picks. During that span he led the league in TD's in one of those 4 years, Led the league in YPA 2 of the 4 years, led the league in TD% one of those 4 years, never completed less than 60% of his passes NEVER threw less than 3300 yards in a season....You know, the things good QB's actually do.

but regarding the thread, Sanchez is probably done as a full time starter. At best He'll float around like Steve DeBerg or Trent Dilfer...Maybe he gets lucky like Dilfer did, but it's not real likely.

LT is preaching to the choir with that statement. This is a guy that played with Brees and Rivers then Sanchez. So he can tell the difference between playing with good QB's (Brees/Rivers vs average ones like Sanchez)
