^ Last year I remember the Jets being at least in the middle of the pack in terms of age. If Idzik has done one thing, he's made our team younger.
You know what is down right damn fuckin' scary about that list? The Seahawks and Packers are on it. The Seahawks can be debated as the BEST team in the NFC right now and the Packers are not far behind. The Seahawks POUNDED us last year...demolished, destroyed embarrassed. every other team on that list sucks butt hole, including us until further proven different.
Thats not a bad thing, if we are following the Seahawks blueprint for team building then that's a situation I'm comfortable with
That's some hopeful news. It makes me cringe every time someone mentions Braylon or Brandon Lloyd. Give some young guys a chance to gain some confidence and make a few mistakes - It could pay off down the line!
I think the Browns have potential to be pretty good within a couple years. Norv Turner as an offensive coordinator should work wonders for Weeden, Richardson, and Josh Gordon.
Weeden won't be good... He'll turn 30 during this season, his second season in the NFL, and he'll be about 32 before it's known whether he'll ever be good or not. If he does become pretty good, he'll only have 1 or 2 seasons before age will catch up to him and he'll be out. It was a big mistake for them to draft such an old QB, just looking at that time factor alone.
I understand his age is a negative, but he has a great arm and Norv Turner's playcalling with the playaction pass can cover alot of negatives. Jay Fiedler looked like a competent QB with Turner as an OC and he started to turn Alex Smith into a decent option again. If Weeden were 23 years old when the draft took place, he would have been a top 10 pick no doubt in my mind.

The Jets haven't had 4 rookies start on opening day since 79 and that team went 8-8. The last time we had 5 (If Winters ends up starting) was 1976 and that team also went 8-8. Finally the Jets seems to be building through the draft rather than just big free agency splashes. The Jets this year are a mystery, but next year I see nothing but green pastures.
You could have also added that since the average career lengh in the NFL is still only 3.5 years that an average team age difference of over two years is even bigger than it seems.
