I don't see any reason to cheer him (he is in an enemy uniform and does have that Mevis streak) or boo him (he was incredible as a Jet)

So I'll probably sit on my hands and not acknowledge him at all

Caused drama every off-season and only cared about the money.

Boo him is the obvious choice.

If he gets a pick six and does a big smug dance in the EZ...I'd boo.

    Otherwise I dont care.

Come on, dude, you started well, but now you are talking out of your ass and you look stupid doing it. Your team just paid Revis like a QB. Meanwhile, Milliner held out of camp for 5 days on contract language with completely different FO than Revis ever held out on.

There is plenty of misplaced anger on this forum about the loss of Revis, but your post is pretty stupid and misses the point entirely.

I could write a long winded explanation for why I don't like Revis but I won't.

I'm going to boo him like I boo every-other opposing team that we play.

    This isn't his home anymore.

Revis wants to be paid elite QB type of money. Yeah right. That was the problem. He is no SB winning elite QB. But that's the type of money he deserves. No problem. We know rex is just gonna take advantage of their other secondary issues and leave revis sitting there with his thumb in his butt.

Red Barron doesn't even realize that revis is coming off a acl surgery that takes time to heal. Why would you pay a guy 16 mill hoping that he recovers to full strength. And the ref's are gonna be watching him cause every WR in the NFL claims he holds almost all the time.

I would honestly just ignore him. Why waste a boo, just go dead quiet.

He was a great player. But a greedy one, and paying him $ 13-15m a year caused roster holes our FO wasn't capable of filling. Loved him as a player, respected him as a person, was disappointed that his avarice became a distraction for the franchise. He has a right to ask for whatever he can get in the open market, but I could do without the holding out and the forcing of a trade. He is not a bad person, just out for himself. Football is a short career, I get that. But it's also a team game, and at times I felt he put himself ahead of the team.

I wish he was still here, but, I'm glad (after this year) we're not paying him anymore.

I dont understand why people get angry at players for making as much money as they can like you would be any different. Should Ravens fans be mad at Flacco for getting paid? Why be mad at Revis for making millions more in Tampa than he could have here in NY. It sucks he left and I agreed with the trade but I dont hold any ill feelings towards Revis for making Godly money.

In opposition to other posters (on this page and further back), I feel your post might be the most sincere...

I'll admit, I'm an outsider looking into the situation:

But what if you worked in an office wherein not only you were the leader, but you kept the office going, and your skills allowed it to variate successfully from what a normal office does...

You do ALL OF THIS, while your FuttBumble office manager continually screws things up. Yet FuttBumble gets millions of dollars in extension while you're playing the role of "ATLAS" holding the world on his shoulder???

    PLEASE...

Hate on Revis as he is now (an opposing player) that's acceptable, but don't hate the man...

He gave the Jets his all, but your front office kept trying to screw him...

That's my opinion, on the other hand, we are paying him, we love him, and he loves us back...

Can't wait to see ya this Sunday!!!

The Jets have a new GM this season. Paying $16/year million to a CB with the current salary cap is stupid. Period.

Most fans will cheer loudly...but not until Revis re-injures his knee.

Trying to screw him? What fucking planet do you live on? The Jets made him the highest paid corner in the league in 2010 and also gave him an opt out for the final two seasons. It was a sweetheart deal.

You really don't know shit about the situation with the Jets and Revis, do you?

I loved having him in this team, but they couldn't afford him because of other bad contracts made by a GM and FO that no longer are affiliated with this team.

The only reason he loves being on that team is because he is making more money this year than any defensive back has any business making. He doesn't love you. He loves that you bought his jersey. He doesn't even know you exist.

    Now fuck off, already.

If anything, it was Al Davis and Aso that screwed the Jets.
