Wow I have no idea why they let him go. I bet he finds a team, I hope it's the Jets.

 

I like folk. I don't know the exact numbers but from what I remember from last year he made almost every field goal except the few that got blocked. I really don't remember one missed field goal from him that wasn't blocked I'm sure there were a couple. Someone please post stats as I am to lazy to do so lol

 

I'm not sure why we are looking to upgrade from Folk when he was pretty solid for us.

 

Becuz they got Akers, the Rugland cut was inevitable. I hope we grab Rugland. We were the first NFL team that showed interest in him 8 months ago. I've been yapping about him on here since I saw the Kickalicious vid.

 

Folk was ranked 30th in 2012 in terms of field goal percentage. Unless you have an automatic kicker, you always look to upgrade.

 

Man. If only Tony Sparano were here this would be his dream

Maybe it's because making trick kicks for a camcorder doesn't mentally prepare you to do it when you have professional safeties and linebackers and defensive tackles trying to knock your leg off in addition to blocking the kick.

Hes played in pre season and not missed, plus I think he has the balls.
If we are going to replace Folk I'd like him to get a shot

I don't think it would be a bad risk for a team with a solid offense.

For a team with a complete shit offense like ours has looked, I think it is too large of a risk.

I'd rather not sign a YouTube kicker to break my spirit in that respect.

 

Why on earth would you not want to upgrade from Folk???? Folk was not near the top in terms of Kickers last season. Carpenter was somewhat better - if he can return to form that would be a big improvement over Folk and it could mean several more Ws.

 

Especially in the preseason!!!!

 

"Somewhat better" isn't worth it to me.
