The only thing dumber than Rex Ryan playing Mark Sanchez this past weekend was the post-game presser that followed. Today, sitting in for Esiason on Boomer & Carton, New Jersey governor Chris Christie weighed in on NY Daily News 'ghost writer' Manish Mehta.

"Idiot. The guy's a complete idiot. Self-consumed, underpaid, reporter. Who, by the way, I couldn't pick out of a lineup and no Jets fan gives a damn about Manish Mehta."

"We shouldn't be giving this dope, you know, the amount of airtime we've given him already."

 

It really sucks for a seller when they get sold by somebody else.

 

Christie is the same dope who calls his constituents "Stupid", 400 lb moron...but he's right about Mehta

Gov. Christie is right. Mehta is a total HACK and I think people need to call him out. He's not a journalist at all, he's as much as a journalist as those idiots at TMZ.

Besides his handling of the situation, in the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy. This is the first time I agree with porky.

 

Mehta's postgame tweets and overall behavior in the postgame press conference were both entirely unprofessional.

:lol: I got a real kick out of this. Christie was on the FAN with Boomer and Carton discussing the Jets, and they got on the subject of the line of questioning and scathing article Manish Mehta was involved with re: Rex's QB PT choices in the last game. Whether or not you agree with the approach Mehta took in his criticism of Rex following Sanchez's injury, I had to laugh at him being really blunt about the general state of sports journalism.
