Just 5 days ago this ass-hole said he couldn't walk, and Saturday night he is seen running full sprints playing catch with Geno.. As much as I think he is a cancer to our team, I am happy as anyone about this progress because our current receiving core is a huge question mark. He's still a jack-ass. I don't like Holmes, but we need him and if he plays well and plays hard each week, he could easily earn the respect back of the fans that saw him half ass it for 2 years.
He was playing well last yr prior to the injury. He worked hard last offseason. Stop dwelling on week 17 of 2011.
I know it's popular to hate him but I think he still has value to our team and can help us put up some yards. Is he a pro bowler? No. But he can still get some catches for us and, honestly, our receiving corps is pretty crappy so any body capable of catching a couple of passes should be welcome.
Holmes is and will always be a player that doesn't care about anything but himself. He doesn't care who signs the checks as long as they're getting signed by someone. He'll never be a team guy and he'll always be an asshole. Unfortunately the Jets need this asshole to even vaguely resemble a respectable team.

Well he was down so it shouldn't have been a fumble anyway so maybe he just knew he was down and tossed it away as he was a bit more concerned about the pain he was in than a dead ball.
