he wasn't a starter anymore but if he had another week or 2 as a starter in Sea they would have made it as they missed by a game. If he was awful we never make 2 postseasons. 2010 at Indy Mark made plays to win, Peyton did not. Our win at SD was decided by which QB made less mistakes, we won b/c of it. at NE he outplayed Brady at Cincy he was near flawless same record against weaker sched w/o having to deal w/ Brady. Did Brett have Chansi Stuckey starting a qtr of the season? he had as much talent, if not more, to work w/ on O in 2008 than mark had in 2009. Cle did us a huge favor, we got a steal and it helped us nearly reach 2 SBs.
No at what? So you're saying that by the definition of what's considered good QB play. Sanchez provided that to us in 09? Sanchez who was the 28th ranked QB wasn't the issue, but instead it was really the number 1 ranked defense, and special teams that was really the problem? Rex wasn't the coach and he turned a middle of the pack defense into a number 1 defense. With Rex in place, and the additions of Bart Scott, Jim Leonhart, etc and another year in the system and this time much more healthier, we probably win the division. You know what I always found interesting. In 2009 Cleveland needed a QB, yet traded out the 5th spot where they could have drafted Sanchez themselves. If the Browns who needed a QB at the time felt that it wasn't worth it to draft Sanchez and instead opted to trade out the spot then what does that say about Sanchez? We reached on that pick imo.
Yes, he wasn't a starter anymore because NFL talent evaluators didn't view him as one even after winning a Super Bowl. They knew that the fortunate circumstance the player was in carried more weight than his ability. That's why you can't overvalue team accomplishments when evaluating a player. I've asked this twice but I'd really like to know if you think the 2012 Skins make the playoffs with 2009 Sanchez at quarterback.
If this is the case- then he deserves the blame for losing the Pittsburgh and Indy game. Peyton and Ben just made more plays than he did, right? You change the argument every post you make.
As if Rivers didnt make enough plays to put the Chargers in position to make "makeable kicks" Sounds similar, doesnt it?
Mark Sanchez blocking allowed Greene to have that big run in that game. Then he made key defensive plays to stop the Chargers offense as well.
They did, where have I said they didn't? the funny thing is people look at ben's rating in the 30s and think he stunk but he made plays to win. I love the "he changes his arguments" whine from people clearly losing this argument. At no point have I changed anything. 57 yd FGs on grass are always makeable, right? Rivers changed the game w/ his pick from his EZ. That set us up where Mark made an outstanding play to throw a TD pass and give us the lead- which we would never lose. The difference in that game was the play of the QBs, the one that made the least mistakes is the one that helped his team win. it's cute watching 2 guys who don't understand what they are watching going back and forth.
we had a double digit lead on one of the legendary choking QBs of all time and our "great" D was thrashed but it was ALL Mark's fault.
Didn't you say Sanchez made more plays than Rivers that's why the Jets won? So by that logic Peyton made more plays than Sanchez so therefore that's why they won? EDIT you actually said Mark made more plays than Peyton in 2010. So by that logic Peyton made more plays that's why Indy won right?
I said Mark made plays to win. Peyton had the ball in his hands needing a 1st down to A) get his K closer and B) make sure that K was kicking w/ a chance to win the game w/ no time left so the Jets couldn't come back. peyton failed on a 3rd down and set up a 50+ yd FG leaving lowly Mark Sanchez less than a minute to get the GW FG. Mark calmly leads his O down field and sets up a chip shot FG for the win.
The 2012 redskins had the best running game in football. So yes not only do the 2012 make the playoffs with Sanchez they win a playoff game.
:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2: You're too much. Kaeding missed two kicks he should have made in a game decided by 3 points. I wasnt even referring to the miss before halftime. Which Ben game are you referring to? What's really comical is Doug Brien gets full blame from you, in a game where the Jets scored on a punt return and an INT return, while Rivers gets all the blame in a game where his kicker misses two kicks he's made all season, and didnt have the benefit of a special teams TD or a defensive TD. The goalposts are constantly moving- your head must be spinning by now. Certain players get certain rules...its bizarre.
Sanchez is a better player than Rivers, everyday of the week, and Twice, on SUNDAYS. Thats not even a close call.
the game changes if he makes those kicks. We aren't up 17-7 lead running out the clock and playing prevent if he makes those 2 kicks. the 2010 AFC Championship game. Doug Brien doesn't get full blame, I fully acknowledge the failures of the QB and the O BUT the bottom line is he was put in position to win the game TWICE and failed both times. Rivers doesn't get all the blame but his TO was the biggest play of that game and completely changed that game. Nothing is moving except from you, that is clear to anyone who can read. you can make stuff up that you think I said but the proof is in the posts.
I was referring to the '10 WC game. I'm not a gloater, I just want our team to win and i'll be happy.
...and voilá. Now it's become yet another Mark Sanchez sucks thread. ------------------------------------------------------- Why... do you all keep feeding the Junc & Hobbes asylum? JUST. STOP. FEEDING. THEM. AND. STAY. AWAY. FROM. THEIR. BROKEN. BRAINS. A few here have worked -hard- at keeping them contained and occupied in the Sanchez Sucks thread, so we could enjoy a healthy forum elsewhere. And laxin... you of all! I never expected it would be YOU who'd unlock the barred doors and letting them loose, by creating another thread they could hijack with their Indesputable Gospel Of Truth! Just look at it. Took under 10 pages to vacuum the logic reasoning and healthy debate of others, digest it, and repeatedly shit it out with a foamy cover of Junk Truth [tm]. It will never end. Just stop feeding it.
