Technically, the booing could help. They need to practice game scenarios. When Sanchez throws an INT this season or falls on his ass in the backpedal, he's going to get booed big time. Might as well practice that scenario.
Agree 100%. But try convincing this stubborn fan base of that fact. The sense of fan entitlement seems to grow more & more each passing season. Meanwhile there is less faith in the team & its players. Sure this team has disappointed us all immensely over the years. But how about SUPPORTING the team for once? Let the coaches & media handle the criticism part. We are the fans. We are suppose to ENERGIZE the team to play a MOMENTUM DRIVEN sport. This isn't baseball where everything is slowed down, strategic & drawn out. It's football. Energy plays a part no matter how much these guys are being paid. It's sad that so many fans can't see that.
I agree with making mistakes in camp, and that being okay because it allows the team to knead those kinks. But now I'm just confused about vocal etiquette and its effect on the players/team. Does booing affect the players or not? If it can't help, then it must affect them, right? Should fans only cheer in practice, and that's what will lead to a better on-field performance? Do the players not care about the booing, and so, it doesn't matter if they get booed because they're secure in their abilities? Which is it? If you think that anyone cares that you perceive them as a nitwit, then that is on you, too.
haha, that was a good one. yeah we have been disappointed not winning a SB or even making one but we have make the playoffs a ton of times and made some title games so it's not like we are the Bills or dolphins who have made 1 playoff app combined since 2002 but our fans act like we are the Kotite Jets for some reason.
it could be any of those answers depending upon the player. Clearly you guys care or you wouldn't respond and take those insults of the fanbase so personally.
You ever seen white man can't jump? When they are playing in that 2 v 2 bball tourney and Woody Harrelson is talking a ton of crap to the best team in the tourney to get them riled up and mad. So Snipes goes "why are you pissing those guys off" Woody told him because those guys play bad when they are pissed off. So Snipes says well you are pissing me off. Woody says good you play better when you are mad. Sanchez will not respond well to your booing. it was proven last year when he got progressively worse. Its not his personality. As jets fans you guys should realize that unless of course you are rooting for them to fail like i know some of us do.
So Muhammad Wilkerson, Antonio Cromartie, Quinton Coples, David Harris, Jeremy Kerley, DeBrickashaw Ferguson, Nick Mangold, Austin Howard, Bilal Powell all deserves to be booed as much as Sanchez?
I'm familiar with the movie. The thing is, Sanchez hasn't regressed because of the fans and their booing. It's vice versa.
This guy Mark is gonna be playing possessed on Friday. Hopefully he goes into reckless mode and hands the reigns over to Geno.
Ignorance, and not having lived thru the Kotite years. Or, even better...the Obrien years, watching a supremely talented individual, put up amazing performamces, but get trashed, because the organization couldnt build a Line. Which, pretty much is happening today. Sanchez gets to btb AFCCGs...then falls off when WFH, and neophyte Austin Howard get plugged in at RT in btb years...I guess going from mid twenties in sacks, to high thirties has no effect on a QB. (consider, Sanchez took 34, and Sackelroy 11 more..in 2012...and Sackelroy didnt play until Howard allegedly "came on at the end of the year" Shocking.
Maybe not at the game but when recapping your cheering/booing performance you think of me:grin: Not as much but as a team if you are going to boo(I don't but if you do boo) then that was a team to boo. He regressed last year b/c of the healthy talent mostly.
Sanchez regressed because he sucked You can blame talent around him Our team success is directly effected by lack of talent but Sanchez looked bad period We went 6-10 and lost 3 games a touchdown or less so let's say we score a TD and win and go 9-7 Sanchez would still have regressed because he looked bad plain and simple
Personally i'm not into booing individual Jet players, unless the player puts themselves above the team. Sanchez has sucked, but he's out there working and trying his best. I don't think booing will help him or the team. Booing Pennington upon injury was about the most tasteless thing i've seen from this fan base.
