Do you spend your hard-earned $$ on jerseys of current Jets?

The only jersey I have is a knockoff Mangold jersey and in my opinion he is the only one on the roster that I would wear. (Mo, Coples - may get there just aren't there yet)

With the price of jerseys and the roster turn around its very hard to put your money out for them.

In my 38 years i have bought two jerseys.

My first was a Curtis martin jersey and the other a Revis jersey.
Really thought revis would retire a Jet and this will probably prevent
    me from buying another jersey.

Ill stick to the t shirts sweat shirts and hats from now on.

All though i will admit i picked up my newborn a Geno Smith Jersey style onesie yesterday. (The choices were Sanchez and Smith)

Ill never forget the morning I woke up in my bed and my dad just walks in, hands me a NY Jets hat and threw a new Chad Pennington jersey and handed me two tickets to the Dolphins/Jets game. I was 9 and that is the moment I became a Jets fan

I still buy jerseys, I love em and since I am baised towards our QB's I have in my posession.
    1) Chad Pennington
    2) Custom made "Lagnado" jersey
    3) Curtis Martin
    4) Santana Moss (x2)
    5) Mark Sanchez home Reebok
    6) Mark Sanchez away Nike
and lastly and probably my best aside from Curtis
    7) Nick Mangold home Nike

The nike jerseys were Birthday presents. The only problem with 1-4 is that I got them when I was 10 or 11 and they certainly dont fit anymore. Sucks. But I will always try and support the team with a current player jersey if I feel necessary. I wear my white Sanchez jersey the most though.

My dad has a "Broadway Joe" jersey in his closet that he got in 1998 which is really cool. But its way to big to wear. Thats my collection. Its going to grow too. a brand new "Smith" jersey may not be too far off.

I've got a Chrebet from his I think second year, a Pennington and a Revis.

And my friend just got me an Alabama Namath, which is pretty sweet.

I would consider a Toon, Klecko or Walker, other than that I can't see buying another jersey with all the turnover. Vintage or retired players are the way to go. Make them earn your support and cash first.

If you like to get plastered at tailgates, there's nothing wrong with an Emerson BOOZER across your back.

Never. Not anymore. Stopped when Penny was dumped for Mr. Selfish in 2008. Bought a Namath jersey, which I will wear until it wears out. It is not worth it in today's NFL to buy any current player's jersey on the Jets. Nobody is assured to be here for long haul.

I don't buy jersey's until they leave the team, and then I will know its a worthwhile player to have.

Martin, Chrebet, Testeverde (signed and hung on wall), Pennington. The last Jersey I bought was a Sean Ellis Jersey after he went to pats. 10 year player with Jets - steady & solid. Well worth the the money I paid and no shame in wearing that name.

Until someone else is with the team at least 8 years or more and at least a solid or stud player with the team for that time, I'll be holding off on a purchase. That being said, I can see a Mangold being added to my short collection

When was the last time you wore your Adrien Clarke Jersey? Just curious...:drunk:

Got a Mangold and Harris. Considering buying a cheap reebok edwards jersey. I'd never buy a QB's jersey.

I think I may be done with buying jerseys. I just don't get the wear out of them I used to (I guess this is growing up). Even going to all the home games, half of them I'm usually wearing my sweatshirt or jacket anyway. Couple that with the pure expense and the volatility of team transactions and I don't really want to anymore.

I may hold out for finding an old authentic Chrebet on ebay or something just to have my favorite player as a mainstay jersey. But for my other teams, I have authentic Mattingly and Rivera jerseys, authentic Messier and Callahan. I'm pretty much set from here out.

I bought a Jets hat for $10 once and my dad gave me another hat after the first one fell apart. I also bought a $20 Jets t-shirt. I spend very little money on sports team paraphernalia and when I do, I spend the money on things that I need. I spend my hard-earned money on useful things.

Terrific RB until he hurt his knee in KC if I remember correctly. In the top 5 as a all time NYJ RB IMHO

I am happy to see that most of you feel the same way as I do in relation to spending money on a jersey. First, I think they should sell the real twill jerseys for way less than the $250 they are asking for now. When they went to Nike everything got more expensive. Do they think we are stupid? I'm happy to see older jerseys when I go to games. I still buy them, however I get the bootleg ones so I don't make a huge investment. Here are my all time jerseys.

    Neil O'Donnell
    Keyshawn Johnson
    Curtis Martin
    Bart Scott
    Darrelle Revis
    Nick Mangold

I just recently got a bootleg Mangold and am very pleased with it. It's tough in today's game to have someone on your back who you feel proud of that's a current player. Wilkerson may be next for me personally.

The only remaining jet I have right now is a signed Holmes Jersey and he will be gone after this season.

Pro bowl revis jersey, Bart Scott, Leon Washington, Thomas jones, Pennington, vilma, Keller, all gone.

I will buy a Wilkerson jersey as soon as I can find a good price on an authentic.

He should be a life time jet but we never know. I thought the same with revis but he's gone.

Wilkerson will be a top player and be deserving of a huge contrct. I don't think he will over due it like revis but let's see if the jets actually pay this man when the time comes

Because Kerley is an extremely mediocre NFL player.

Idzik is a hard nosed negotiator, you would hope we lock him up long term before he hits the open market for a reasonable increase in salary compared to other DE's in the league. We overpaid for Harris, and I think we are in the right ball park for Mangold, D'Brick and Cro.. Revis wanted an insane amount of money and I am sure glad we did not give it to a guy who might blow his ACL again this year, or pull a hamstring from lack of real practice time. I think Idzik does him justice. Wilkerson is a great jersey to have long term I feel.

I have a Revis Home and Pro Bowl jersey, Sanchez Away (threw it away last year) Favre Away and Namath Home. I was close to getting Landry last year glad I didn't. I'm going with Kerley, Coples, Wilkerson, Cromartie (Maybe), Harris, Rookies (Depends). I forgot I have a Greene customized hoodie WTF MAN?
