For some strange reason I thought I was around on the original server as well...wheww...well OVER a decade here. Some days I love it and some days I hate it...sounds like the Jets themselves!!!! :metal:
I just saw that this thread had been brought back from the dead.... It's been almost 13 years since the original message board went live. I know the exact date when the site became live, but not the board... Thanks to all the moderators and posters for keeping this thing alive! Of course, special thanks to those of you who have been here since the beginning. Sorry for hardly ever being here these days and not going to camp anymore and taking pics. I was in college when I created this and now I am married with two kids... time does fly and life priorities do change. I would love to see some of the great threads that we had here before the site crashed that one time years and years ago now. Also, I don't recognize most of those memories Petro mentioned, despite having been here the majority time of the board's life span. I'd love to hear about those as well.
Member #1 baby! At that time Petro was having a lot of server issues and was changing hosting quite a few times. I just happened to be the first to sign up again on the last server change. I have been here since the start though.
geez i really dont remember when exactly i started posting/criticizing the team - i think it was in 2000/2001. i just remember ripping the jets on some board after they blew it against the ravens in late 2000. and also ripping them about the edwards hiring. oh the good ole days
I started at the perfect time, just before the Doug Brien Debacle. Legendary fury was unleashed on this message board. I knew I found a home.
C-Man, sorry we couldn't get together in Vegas. But we did meet first in Skinny's. Before Skinny's, my wife and I would have to go to casinos to watch Jet games. The Sante Fe Casino opened near us but the (SOB) sports directors were always turning off the game to watch other teams. Skinny's grew from just 6 people to a full house before they sold the place. I originally got on the board to continue conversations with my son (the GREEN GUY). It was a constant barrage of opinions about everything JET. Interacted with you, Tony (another AT-2), Mezzavo , Barry the Baptist, Marco and constant minor disagreements with NYJunC. I don't get on the board much anymore but still hit the site a few times a week. For the guy who was trying to remember the Lady Jet, it was Jessie. She is or was married to a Jet player but I could never determine who that one was, like I did Mezzavo as a Seattle CB. I'm still here and never complained when another poster started to use my avatar, but he is from Ca, so you'll know the difference. LV Coach
I remember Jessie quite well. She was a long time poster here along with our other female alumni Pam. I hope both ladies are doing well in whatever ventures they undertake.
Holy Cow...and here I was certain I had fell back into anonymity!! lol!!! LV has a GREAT memory. We had a blast a bunch of years back when a few Gang Greeners met up in San Diego for a bash! Good times!!!!
I honestly grew up on this site. I joined when I was 13 years old (I'm almost 23 now). Although I rarely post anymore, I still come on everyday. I used to love setting up the fantasy football leagues and I did the awards for a few years. Much respect to all the long-time members and users. I can't help but almost feel old. I recently graduated college, and on Monday, I will start my career. There are a lot of memories on here. I remember Jessie, PF4, and that jetophile. Like Petro said, the first purge ended setting up another message board for a while, AFC East Forums or whatever, and I also remember that Dinobot guy. I also remember Petro getting the one kid suspended from school, santanamossthegreat, I think his name was haha.
