Milliner wont make it in time to practice today, what a dumbass.

Also Jordan White will not practice today, the guy just cant stay healthy.

  4. Ivory doing positional drills. Sounds like he maybe a go. Really looking forward to him in green.

He has to go sign his contract first and get things in order and get to Cortaland. Relax.

  7. This could've been worse. Not really much wiggle room for compromise over something cut & dry like offset language. In the grand scheme of things he only missed 3 practices(1 in pads). Corner is typically pretty plug & play. Especially for Jets where it's man up.

Given the fact that he missed minicamp w/ his shoulder issue..this may cause a rude awakening for Milliner. Not exactly a bad thing...the kid seems really overconfident. He could use the humble pie

If Milliner stays healthy he's going to be a plug and play pro for the Jets for the next 5 years. Whether he's great or just very solid is not clear but this guy is going to be a 3 down player for the Jets who gives ground to nobody.

I've watched a lot of his games at Alabama at this point and he's definitely a player. Even when he was matched up against the big TE's he was keeping them in check most of the time.

I just hope he stays healthy. Putting him on Gronk might seem like a good idea but if they both wind up writhing on the ground in pain it probably wasn't.

In all fairness it takes FOREVER to get to Cortland. Fly into New York - train to Albany - car ride to Binghamton - horse-drawn buggy excursion north to Cortland. It's very possible he had trouble fording the Tioughnioga River!

It sounds like Geno has two TDs in 7 on 7s today. One to Kerley, one to Hill.

    Rich Cimini ‏@RichCimini 31s
Geno Smith looking good in red zone, hits Hill for 17 yd TD in 7 on 7. Earlier, threw 11 yd TD to Kerley in team drill. #Jets

With Holmes' questionable status, one of these two (or maybe even Gates) is in a good spot to have a breakout season. Great to hear about them looking good in TC so far.

Geno making plays out there - appears he's coming along a lot faster then I anticipated. If this pace continues Sanchez won't stand a chance to start week 1.

Same. I was expecting Sanchez to be the starter week 1 but if this keeps up I think you gotta go with Smith. Throws a prettier ball and is a threat to run.

I have been hearing all this great stuff from Jets camp, then Heath Evans just COMPLETELY TRASHED them on NFL Network. Said they have no talent at WR. No physical presence. Says Coples is terrible as a LB. Good God. Wow. What an ass.

So far today Sanchez has thrown two balls at Winslow's feet, one Winslow made a great catch on, and he's been picked off... IN ONE ON ONE DRILLS! Today may be the day Geno makes his strongest case.

    Edit:

    Seth Walder ‏@SethWalderNYDN 3s
Sanchez picked off by Mauga in team drills. #nyj

    Make it two picks!

I'm definitely more impressed than I anticipated being at this point, I still don't know if he'll start week 1 but if nothing else Sanchez's leash is going to get shorter and shorter.

We're less than two weeks removed from pre-season, hopefully Geno has a good showing in some actual game situations (albeit pre-season games).

  19. Looks like Sanchez maybe hanging himself like many predicted. That said..I wish folks would post the positive things he's doing as well so we had a truly clear picture of the competition. He went 7 for 9 yesterday which was only mentioned in a ho hum manner. We heard a ton about his Int though.

Geno mania needs to take a breath though. Almost guaranteed Smith will hit a brick wall within the next couple weeks. Therein lies a young QB w/ potential's greatest test: Can he fight through the adversity?

Yeah he's a Pats loving hack. I heard him this weekend talking about how our new OC wasn't going to help us either.

Our new OC, according to him, is Kevin Gilbride - must have said it half a dozen times on Saturday. Guy knows nothing.
