Was there for 10 minutes today before it started pouring and they canceled practice. Got to see Qbs practice their snaps, FWIW Mangold was the center with Sanchez. Couldn't see who it was but the coach looked like he was preaching footwork. The other thing I saw was special teams. Kinda sucked that it rained.

Really disappointing that Geno did not get a chance to throw to Braylon and Winslow today.

Hope he gets that chance eventually.

Very encouraging to hear that Hill is actually progressing as far as catching the football goes....

To an extent it is nice to hear. A couple of seasons ago all we were hearing was that the defense was going to be great at getting to the QB. Turns out that during that season it wasn't a ferocious defense but a leaky offensive line.

Last year all we heard was that the offense was bland and the defense was dominating. And again it was a terrible offense.

This season the team seems to have some balls and the offense isn't taking crap from the defense. And despite the fact that we think that the receiver depth is not very good they seemed to have held their own. It's also nice to hear how great Geno's arm seems to be and that Sanchez seems to have grown up a bit and seems to have taken responsibility for his job (hopefully).

Your first part of the post is the most important thing that needs to be emphasized more than anything. Play design from a competent OC is why we are not reading why the defense is embarrassing the OC like last year. MM is the #1 offseason acquisition and the main reason why this team will be so much more competitive than people think.

I'm anxious to see Geno once he gets into an NFL weight program

He has the frame to add muscle and if you look at Mark from 2009 to now you'll see what I mean

I seen a before and after pick of RG3 and he's more toned than last year

That helps a QBs arm strength and ability to break tackles

Glad to hear he looked good. After 4 years of Mark, we know what we have (good or bad)

It's good to have competition and options.

I'm liking what I'm hearing as of now. Obviously we can't get too excited, but this is right where they should be I believe. I wouldn't like seeing that both QBs are doing bad just as much as seeing that their completely destroying the defense because then well have another problem.

Really like the news about the receivers stepping up.

If this surprises any of you:

I believe this is the first training camp where Sanchez completed better than 60% in his entire career. That has to mean something.

[Told you, junc. Brian SUCKS. Sanchez's performance is telling you so already, even with lesser WRs, notwithstanding. What's your excuse now?]

More highlights. About a minute in, you see Ellis working his way through Mangold and Peterman. Good to see, he's gonna be a big part of the defense too.[/QUOTE]

    Thanks for this! watching now!

So pumped, so many great things happening right now and mostly by young players.
At the end of last season I thought we would be at least 2-3 years from being able to compete, I'm re-evaluating that thought now. With some careful picks next April we could go back to a deep play off run again.

Idzek has come in and steadied the ship and brought with him a calmness and patience that has been very lacking in previous regimes.

Forget about next year... I don't see why we can't make a run this year... Yes we do have some holes, but we are not as broken as people think. With solid QB play, limited turnovers offensively and stout defense, we are a team that needs to be taken seriously.
