Shake it till it falls off. If Geno is getting Read Option plays, its because they are finding an altternative way to get him on the field. As a Fan, i want to see it. But of he was Ahead of Sanchez, they wouldnt be gadgeting him, they would be getting him acclimated to the offense.

I don't get the attacking of Hobbes in this thread. Pretty childish guys. And Hobbes, no need to defend yourself to each of these posts. I understand all the Geno supporters or Sanchez haters or whatever, but I would calm down.

hobbes brought it on himself with his rediculous posts defending sanchez. (not saying defending hiim is rediculous just the way he has gone about it)
so now he is the identifying object to talk shit to. it is what it is. he did it himself

As Jets fans we need to start thinking a little more positive and forget the doom and gloom of the past.

LOL my Jets fans are so quick to jump the gun. Like some of us had said there are Pre season games to be played. Let's not act like either qb is tearing it up. Just refreshing to hear both qbs are doing well so far.

Geno has The long ball, over all Sanchez has the much better completion %
So let's hope this translates to an efficient offense.

It's not that i dont like Sanchez... He has done some great things for the Jets, it's that he has lost the respect of his peers and that injects negativity.

Geno is a fresh breath of air we need.

So far so good my favorite part about today had to be when the defense was trashing talking the O and Geno started barking back , as he then proceeded to throw 50 yard bombs

Its not a good sign that Mart said explicitly that Geno's transition from under center has been "silky smooth" and he has picked up the verbiage very well?

Its a bad sign because they have him running a few option plays to see how he does there? You know, utilize part of his ability...

Cmon Hobbes thats probably the worst argument you've made against Geno.

    That will change real soon.

    Mark SUCKS.

    Sorry but he does.

He'll end up starting, though. And that's the biggest joke of them all.

Speculation is great and all but there is a group of men who will decide this for us.

No one REALLY knows who will start, so acting like a player is a lock to do anything is pointless.

I hope Geno starts because he is the real deal and is absolutely our best option to win at QB, not because Nacho isnt a fan favorite.

I don't think so no matter how good he is. Idzik's comments more than anything else led me to believe the decision will have nothing to do with this year and we all know where Sanchez will be after this year.

Agree that what we have seen so far regarding our QB performance needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt. Having said that, what is indeed incredibly satisfying to me is to see that for once we have a training camp where the following elements are clearly evident in offense.

    1) The offense is actually moving the ball, our receivers are actually catching the ball, and for once the offensive training plan is coming from an OC that knows his shit. In short is not the usually lame reporting where the D is far ahead of the O at this stage of training camp.

    2) Apparently, based just on three days of training camp, Geno might not be as raw and green as originally forecasted by the experts, labeling him overrated and over-his-head by NFL standards. Perhaps we are seeing a talented, strong arm and hard working kid with a good chance to make it in the NFL. He is embracing the competition, he is poised and does not seem intimidated, not to mention for once providing Sanchez more than enough competition. Time will tell but early indicators are telling me this kid may have the goods needed to make it.

    3) This Offense is practicing against a stronger D than years past and actually holding there own, with a stronger OL. As many here have pointed out, a D that might be significantly better against the run and certainly faster than last year. If Dee gets to camp sooner than later and Wilson can play safety as well as nickel we might surprise a few teams.

    4) Too early to draw conclusions for sure, but never too early to get exited when the O shows up for a change this early in training camp.

Before camp Sanchez supporters chalked it up as a W for him and we said what til camp and preseason

Now that Geno is on par with him they're saying what til preseason games

    Marty had this to share:

    http://www.ganggreennation.com/2013/7/28/4565992/marty-mornhinweg-speaks-on-the-quarterback-battle

Told you so. Countless repetition to the point of robotic execution. God, I am loving this. Looks like Jets finally got an OC that is not stupid, and actually knows his shit.
