Overreact much? Chris Nimbley @Cnimbley 9m McKnight certainly looks physically able to perform #Jets
and we have no idea what happened with the conditioning test.was it rigged like what has been suggested, was this a motivation tactic? like i said in my first post, this is no place for reasonable thinking, you should fare well here
Not surprised about the conditioning. McKnight definitely likes to 'chill' during the off season. He always gets gassed, rarely hits the third gear and gets caught from behind too much. 10 touches a game is the ceiling for him. And regardless of whether the conditioning test was rigged, this guy has to learn how to carry a football better or he will never be a trusted running back on the team.
Please. It's not done to just rookies. It happens to all-pros too. I remember a few years ago when they made a big stink about Albert Haynesworth failing his test. And he was in his tenth year.
buddy sent me a pic of him (McK) w/ a cop at night (won't post for obvious reasons). cop pulled him over in North NJ, McK's buddy had tint windows/dealer plates, late at night, running in hotel parking lot, trees in the car. cop was a jets fan, let him off (asked if he was hanging out with goodson :} ). this is the type of stupidity of joe mcknight. short leash for this moron.
Seth Walder @SethWalderNYDN 15s Anthony Lynn said McKnight was on NFI for undisclosed medical issue, but that he is in excellent physical condition. #nyj
This thread has 66 posts. Likely all trashing McKnight because of some "story". Nobody will say **** now.
This would be great move for idzik to can this goof ball and set an example for the rest of the rookies and the team the JETS wont put up with bullshit like this. DAMN Joe golden chance down the tubes. Go Jets
So, per reports, he failed his conditioning test due to cramps, and passed another one on Thursday. He has (so they say) a bodyfat of 3.3%, which is insanely low. (too low, really). Apologies are in order, he did report in shape. He does seem to be a knucklehead though. With his talent and that level of fitness, in the MM offense, he could have an awesome year. As long as he doesn't "Joe McKnight" himself again.
Cramps? Menstrual..... Ive always liked him, and while Im glad he did pass, hes in the same boat as Sanchez...talented...but...
if he reported to camp at 3.3% body fat and dehydrated then he most definitely did NOT report in shape. thats shape if you are doing the mr. universe or have to weigh in for a fight. thats not shape for football. although its probably not that he is lazy, more that he is stupid.
Please get your facts strainght. McKnight reported to camp in excellent shape and physical condition. He has a body fat percentage of 3.3. Due to that and the extreme heat he cramped up during the conditioning drills on one day and passed it the VERY NEXT day! How the heck can nayone get in shape overnight if they really wereout of shape? Further a guy does not lead the NFL in returns if he does not know how to carry the ball.
in your rush to judgement you conveniently failed to report that the team monitors off season conditioning of its players. Someone approved what the guy was doing! MAYBE IT IS THEY WHO ARE STUPID! By the way trying to fight in a ring with 3.3 body fat is ridiculous. Getting your facts correct should be a priority!
How convenient for you to come here and flame everyone after the facts are out. I didn't see you saying anything prior to that, so maybe you should relax a little?
