Reina is good but IMO he's not amazing, I liked him better than Dudek. He's no pup anymore. I think Mignolet is a gamble as he's really only had one good year but we'll see. I'm still not sold that Brendan Rogers is a good boss.

Still no comment on your Yankees, playing a whole season with a soccer field on the house the George built?

    Multi-Purpose stadiums are so retro.

I saw they cleaned out their change purse and partnered up to buy a soccer team but I don't recall them saying the cosmos would play at Yankee Stadium. I thought they were building a little HS style stadium like the metrostars

w/ the great attendance figures w/ the Metrostars I can't wait to se how Cosmos fever sweeps the NY area.

They will play at least 2 years at YS. 2 Full seasons, with a soccer filed on the turf. Good look, kinda like the Dolphins and the Marlins infield.

    18,285 for the RedBulls.

Seattle's MLS club is drawing more then the Yankees.

can you show proof of that, I have a hard time believing that.

18,000 seats but that building is always empty, how can you trust those attendance figures?

Seattle has a great fanbase, for some reason folks in the pacific NW have nothing better to do but they double the next franchise in attendance(again, who knows if most of the hose #s are real)

    Bloomberg:

“Just look at our three newest sports arenas: the new Yankee Stadium; the Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets; and the Mets’ home base, Citi Field. Each pumps millions of dollars into our economy with every game they host. And each venue is gearing up to play an even bigger role in our city’s economy,” Bloomberg said.
“Yankee Stadium will become the home of the New York City Football Club, the first soccer club in the five boroughs since the 1970s."

I still don't believe, provide a link. I have a very hard time believing the yanks will allow a soccer team to tear up the field knowing how protective they are of the field. A concert or boxing match as a one time thing or even a one day soccer game is one thing but multiple games? Not buying it.

    They are inflating this year.

I won't believe it until I see it.

Knowing the Yankees the way I do(not just as a fan) I would be shocked if they allowed a soccer team to play during a baseball season. That's not happening.

I know they want more events to make money(but would giving away tickets for a soccer game make them money?) but not at the expense of tearing up the field.

The partnered with the Sheik, he could buy and sell the Yanks with his walk around money. This is the bigtime money, not just some baseball owners. They will do what ever he says.

It's very much happening. You can either accept it or not but it is starting to become popular. MLS is growing by leaps and bounds. 55K people showed up to watch the US play in Seattle..... btw the Mariners drew under 10K that night. MLB asked US Soccer to put a cap on the game. So many people want tickets for the US/Mexico game that they need to have a ticket lottery.

All but one MLS team average over 10K a game. The Sounders average over 40K.

BTW Red Bulls over 18K a game

Soccer is becoming more and more popular. It's a slow process, and it's at a natural disadvantage because the MLS doesn't have the best players in the world, unlike other major US-based sports leagues. But it's absolutely growing in popularity, especially as the Hispanic influence in the country grows.

Personally, I never liked soccer as a kid, but now I make sure to watch almost every USMNT game that matters.
