That would make Jets fans happy, so nope! You guys are too fuckin happy right already . Fortunately, the football season will start and this too shall pass...
Did the Pats go get Tebow to try to steer Hernandez in a better direction? They were teammates at Florida for three years running.

OK but: 1. Training camp JUST started. Tebow is a popular figure. I didn't say it would completely disappear. 2. When they were listing stats from drills last year when Tebow was in NY, it was because of the perception of a QB competition. There is no QB competition in Foxboro this summer, unless you're talking about the remotest chance that Tebow supplants Mallet. 3. The tweets you quoted were from Tom E. Curran, Mike Reiss, and Albert Breer. All Patriots beat writers and/or former Patriots beat writers. Reiss works for ESPN now, Breer for NFL.com. So it's not like there is a throng of media at Gillette at this point. At least not for Tebow.
The Pats are hoping for some Tebowmania right now! Maybe trying to get the conversation away fom some "other stuf"
I guess I misunderstood what you meant when you said "tebowmania lasted 24 hours here". Tebowmania never says die!
:metal: Like CJ said, a little Tebowmania would not be the worst thing in the world right now! Better than the Murdermania we've been dealing with since June, anyway...
It's such a weird juxtaposition of things. The media can't decide whether they want to talk about Touchdown Jesus or Yosemite Hernandez.
Of course there will be no thought of competition right off the bat between Brady & Tebow. But this "perception of a QB competition while Tebow was in NY" that you mentioned did not exist either. Now while acknowledging that Sanchez obviously isn't in the same universe as Brady, Rex Ryan and the Jets staff nevertheless repeatedly said 'till he was blue in the face from day one last year that "Mark is our starter" but to no avail as the ESPN Sal Palantonio's and other pot-stirring media trolls were not going to accept it on face value.....not while there was a story (however invented) to be disengenuously perpetuated as fact. No, instead they perpetuated this false "Tebow watch" to the point that a high ranking ESPN executive admitting in the aftermath of the 2012 season that ESPN excessively milked that invented angle for all it was worth. As a matter of fact, when it became obvious that Tebow was not going to get much playing time, the media almost came off as butthurt; that the Jets betrayed their preconceived storyline.
True, so let me rephrase and say the media will not perpetuate some kind of perceived QB battle. I remember last year, it was like reading box scores when you checked in on Jets camp reports. "Sanchez was 11-for-14 in 7-on-7 drills, while Tebow was 8-12 with an INT." That kind of stuff. But fair point by you, you're right.
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...wski-return-tim-tebow-catching-145117634.html TE competition. "Te-bow, te-bow, te-bow" I know who I am rooting for Edit: reading the comments is so much fun. The Tebow fans are just scary, scary ppl.
LOL, sure looks like it. http://nesn.com/2013/07/robert-kraf...g-consistent-with-effort-to-find-good-people/
Bob Kraft is going to be chanting Te-bow! Te-bow! Te-bow! when the Hernandez trial kicks off. The Pats don't want any of the Hernandez action sticking to them. There's too much other stuff that is a little dicey in the recent past, they can't really afford the smear associated with a murder trial.
Pretty much like I expected. He's kind of an afterthought. They report all the real news about the important players first. And once in a while there will be a line about Tebow and how many reps he got or what not. He's certainly not a major focus of the fans up here. It's more of a curious interest about if he will actually make the team or do anything to help them this year.
It never occurred to me but it seems possible that the Pats engineered the Hernandez crime spree to take the heat off of Tebow and Tebowmania.
So your pats forum probably isn't crawling with a bunch of douchebag holier than thou tebow spin masters then.
