Geno had an up/down first practice but it sounds like he killed it at comedy hour. Kristian Dyer @KristianRDyer 8m Geno "Mark was out there, being accurate. Being his normal self " Expand
I am just saying if one guy is average vs. the 1's and one guy is average vs. the 2's, edge clearly goes to the guy vs. the 1's. In theory, if they flip-flopped, Geno would struggle vs. the 1's and Sanchez would have an easier time vs. the 2's. None of that matters to me yet though, as they have only had 1 practice. If it is a true competition, i'd like to see Geno vs. 1's and Sanchez vs. 2's also. Preferably, during actual preseason games.
How is this QB competition happening, in Minicamp it was alternating between one working with the first team the other with the second and then switching the next day. Is that the setup now? Also, any news on the safety's or TE's and such?
You miss certain factors The 2nd team defense is way better than the 2nd team offense Geno with the 1st team O-Line would likely yield better results So you suggesting he'd struggle vs the 1s and Sanchez would thrive vs the 2s is off base He also had 4 less pass attempts
Just a guess, but you would have to think Sanchez will start the first preseason game, and they would seem to have to give Geno the next start. Unless a decision is reached prior?
We will see whenever it happens. Someone arguing that the 2's are better than the 1's is a first for me though. Haha. Yeah, I think so too. Geno may never start. I'd give him a start if he earns it in camp though.
Well that's a bit of a stretch, all he said was that he can't guarantee if he'll play it all depends on how his foot heals. It's not quite the same.
That's not what he said. He said he doesn't know of many people who have recovered from it. They asked him if he would be ready for this season and he said I don't know yet. That's not saying he will be out the entire season.
Kap was not a rookie and Alex Smith got hurt. If Alex doesn't get hurt Kap does not see a start last season.
Kaep was rawer than Geno is coming out Harbaugh was ready to make that switch the injury was the excuse/reason If that wasn't the case he would have went back to Smith Our situation is similar and a different at the same time

Keep in mind any offensive woes should be in the context of going against what we all hope is a dominating defense.
