It's hilarious. If you watch Moore the entire time, he's pushing Wilfork back a bit and then they both come to a standstill. Then we see Sanchez rum into his rear, knocking him off balance and allowing Wilfork to finally push him down. Sanchez fans are absolutely out of their minds if they can't see something as clear as day like that.
To be honest, Moore didnt do that poor of a job on that play. He was 1 on 1 with one of the best NTs in the game and got some push on him... Sanchez just ran right into his ass.
Whenever incontrovertible evidence surfaces that proves his shit wrong, Hobbes disappears for a few hours.
Yup. It just boggles my mind when I try to figure out what the hell Sanchez was thinking. He clearly forgot the play, but the DLine was held up. Mark could have easily just thrown it away and lived to fight another day. But instead, he marches right into Moore's big, green booty. Having this guy as our QB is like living in our own groundhog day.
hobbies will come back in a few hours or probably tomorrow and completely ignore that we ever talked about the buttfumble.
He'll probably trash the D and say they would have allowed an extra TD anyway, so Sanchez was just playing it smart by letting the TD happen sooner, thus giving us more time later on. SANCHEZ IS CEREBRAL! DA FRANCHISE! WHAT A GENIUS!
Looking at the play hard to believe that ball was supposed to go to the fullback but hey maybe. The thing is all the attention that play gets the game was long over when that fumble happened it was a meaningless play yet we act like it cost the Jets that game. You guys have bought into the media hook line and sinker not one original thought. There is no sense arguing about stupid shit trying to bash Mark or prop Mark up. He will succeed or fail on his own I just want to know he plays well will you support him or continue bashing? He he falls on his face this season I can guarantee you Hobbes Junc and every other Sanchez supporter will no longer support him. As long as he is the Jets starter he should be supported.
Don't tell Hobbes that. He is convinced that Collinsworth was correct on his call that Moore was thrown like a rag doll into Sanchez. I know video evidence and player quotes mean nothing but here is another: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...s-collinsworth-butt-nbc-mark-sanchez/1727603/ I really don't get how anyone can say "Looking at the play hard to believe that the ball was supposed to go to the fullback". hmy: Did you miss the Sanchez quote saying that the ball was supposed to go to the FB? Did you not know that Greene also said the ball was supposed to go to the FB? Did you know that after Rex talked to his assistance he said MArk made a mental mistake on the handoff? Did you also miss the photos and video of the FB putting his arms out to take the ball? If he wasn't supposed to get the ball he is clearly acting like he is going to get the ball. Why fake to the FB if the RB was supposed to follow right behind him as Hobbes believes? Why lie and say the ball was supposed to go to the FB after the game? It isn't buying into the media hook line and sinker. It is logically thinking.
how is it hard to believe, EVERYTHING points to it... well other than mark sanchez but he pointed to it in the post game presser. listen junc will go down with the ship, he still sticks up for herm edwards anytime his name comes up in the forum. please dont tell me that junc will no longer support him.
It makes you realize that this is the way that Hobbes must break down every Sanchez fuck up. Once you realize the guy isn't firing on all cylinders then you can understand why he is so vehemently pro-Sanchez. He just isn't going to blame him. Period.
the fb blatantly waiting for the ball to be put in his stomach, i applaud him for his technique. the te reaching for the de on the inside shoulder, the guard blocking out on the dt, the tackle flat pulling and up into the hole to get a lb. i just dont see how anyone can look at that play and not understand what is going on there.
It's really something to watch. He never used to use the term until he heard it aimed at him enough. Then he added it into his repertoire to deflect from how stupid he sounds. If you watch closely you will see him piggyback on other people's arguments, picking up things here and there along the way. I remember when Kurtthejetsfan mentioned how Sanchez looked good in TC last year and Hobbes just took it as gospel. Any little tidbit that is pro-sanchez gets added to the vault and the landslide of info against him gets thrown out the window. It is hilarious. But now, pretty boring. I can't wait for football to start again to start actually being able to discuss meaningful things here.
Game was long over? It happened half way thru the 2nd quarter. The score was 14-0. There was 39 minutes of football to play. And what exactly is the "media hook"? There's simply no way to put a positive spin on it, or make it worse than what it looks like. And far from "meaningless"...the ripple effect is still being felt. The team mascot quit fer chrissakes. People lost their jobs. If Sanchez plays up to his pay, then that's fine. He's already proven how badly he can play. All the "bashing" in the world is not going to change that. But go ahead and view it as you wish. But to any one who's close to being objective sees it for what it is...an embarrassing stain on our teams history caused by one player's ineptitude.
It is amazing how quick things become meaningless when the guys supporting Sanchez decide a certain point deficit is too much for him to overcome. That says it all right there. 14 pts is too much. Oh yeah...and the Pats can score whenever they want to so it doesn't matter what Sanchez does.
It all started with the "good punt"... If the Jets continue to suck on offense, they might as well punt on 1st down. Last season I was positively nervous whenever the offense had the football. I must be psychic... I was hoping for Sanchez to be benched during the bye, for his good, the team, and the fans.
Not to continue stirring the pot but I still stand by my assessment from last TC. He looked sharp at the sessions I attended. In fact I thought he was the most talented player on the offense(Which as it turned out wasn't saying much). I've never ventured from the stance that the kid has legit NFL talent. Despite popular belief he has great natural feet, quick release & can make all the throws. What I question are his ball security, decision making & leadership. All 3 of those qualities can improve. As a result I haven't truly written him off b/c I think there were so many variables at play during 2012 that can be corrected. He's made plays his entire career in the NFL. It's a matter of maturity & consistency. That said I recognize that NFL history is working against him at this stage & although not completely ruled out..the hope of him blossoming into a franchise player appear severely faded.
